Audi has recalled about 1,000 SUVs because their driver-side seat side airbags may not inflate correctly.
The recall affects only models built on certain dates. Recalled vehicles include some, but not all, of the following:
- 2023-2024 Audi Q7
- 2023-2024 Audi Q8
- 2023-2024 Audi RS Q8
- 2023-2024 Audi SQ8
- 2024 Audi SQ7
Audi tells federal safety officials the airbags may not be correctly mounted to the seat frame. As a result, they could inflate in the wrong position.
Dealers will inspect the airbags and correct their mounting if necessary.
Recall repairs are always free.
Manufacturers attempt to contact every owner, but they don’t always reach them all with the news. Find out if your car has any outstanding repair orders at our recall center.
