While offering no mechanical details on the vehicle, Kia has released a quartet of teaser images showing “a provocative and racy new urban concept car” that will make its formal debut at the Geneva Auto Show in March. Displaying more aggressive and expressive exterior styling themes than anything else in the automaker’s current product portfolio, this still-unnamed 3-door hatchback will introduce a host of new design cues — including the latest evolution of Kia’s signature “tiger-nose” grille and headlamp treatment – that could one day appear on a high-profile rival for vehicles like the Nissan Juke or Honda‘s upcoming production variation of the Fit-based Urban SUV Concept that was shown in Detroit.

The bolder and more energized look of this youth-oriented concept – which may be dubbed the Kia Provoke – could also influence other members of the family lineup. Most likely candidates for first implementation of a similar visual recasting would seem to be the next-gen Sportage or Soul.
