About Hatchbacks

Compared to their sedan counterparts, hatchbacks offer more flexible cargo capacity by virtue of a wide rear hatch that opens up to the car's interior rather than a traditional trunk. This helps with long items and, when paired with a fold-down rear seat, provides a surprising amount of cargo space for a small car. Related to wagons but usually smaller, hatchbacks tend to be entry-level economy cars but some luxury manufacturers have their entries as well.
