Four 2025 Toyota RAV4 SUVs Recalled Over Seat Bracket Welds

Toyota has announced a recall of the 2025 Toyota RAV4 due to a seat bracket that may be improperly welded.

Toyota says a total of just four vehicles from the 2025 RAV4 model run are potentially affected by the defect.

The company explains in its report to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that a robotic welding station had a mechanical issue that prevented it from properly welding the brackets during one portion of one shift.

A seat bracket weld failure could result in the occupant becoming unrestrained during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Toyota says there are no known incidents related to this recall. The owners will begin being notified this June.

The fix includes an inspection of the recalled vehicles to assess weld quality, with affected vehicles to be repaired free of charge, as required by law.

Carmakers recall many vehicles to fix safety defects, sometimes more than once. While automakers try to notify every owner, they rarely reach all of them.
