Audi has recalled a total of 7,425 Q5 and SQ5 SUVs due to seat belts that may not properly restrain passengers in a crash.
Affected models include:
- 5,344 2025 Audi Q5
- 769 2025 Audi Q5 Sportback
- 1,041 2025 Audi SQ5
- 271 2025 Audi SQ5 Sportback
Audi explains that the driver and front passenger seat belt pre-tensioners may fail during a crash, allowing the belt to become loose, increasing the risk of injury.
Audi says it is not aware of any accidents or warranty claims related to this recall. Repairs include the replacement of affected seatbelt units and will be conducted free of charge to owners, as required by law.
Owners will be notified about the recall starting June 23, 2026.
