- Audi has raised prices across most of its lineup for 2026
- The automaker is throwing in three years of pre-paid maintenance on all 2026 models
Audi has increased prices across much of its range of vehicles for 2026, with price hikes ranging from $800 to $4,100 depending on model and trim.
The luxury arm of Volkswagen will justify the move by giving all buyers pre-paid maintenance for the first three years or 30,000 miles of ownership. But, in many cases, the price increases outweigh the cost of scheduled maintenance. Most cars cost little to maintain when new, with maintenance costs spiking after the typical 3-year comprehensive warranty expires.
The increases are not unexpected.
The White House enacted 25% tariffs on new cars and car parts in April, significantly raising what it costs automakers to put vehicles in showrooms. Prior to April, most automakers paid just 2.5% in tariff costs. Automakers and their dealers have largely absorbed the price increase so far. The average new car buyer paid just 1.5% more in July 2025 than a year before.
However, the White House has since locked in long-term trade deals, holding tariff rates at 15% with much of the world. Now that they know tariffs are here to stay, many automakers have begun to say they will need to raise sticker prices to pay the levies.
