Like its Mini JCW Hardtop sibling, this al fresco version packs a specially tweaked 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder that cranks out 228 horses and 236 lb-ft of torque compared to the 1.5-liter turbo 3-cylinder and 2.0-liter turbo 4-banger that make a respective 134 and 189 horsepower in the Cooper and Cooper S models. Fitted with the standard 6-speed manual, the JCW cabrio can sprint from 0-60 mph in just 6.4 seconds while opting for the available 6-speed Steptronic sport automatic trims that to 6.3 ticks.

Equipped to exhilarate

Like the JCW Hardtop, the Convertible comes with the full complement of performance-focused functional and cosmetic elements. In addition to the engine tweaks, this maxi Mini also boasts a John Cooper Works sport suspension, aero kit, 17-inch alloy wheels and Brembo brakes in addition to its LED headlamps and sport seats. Crowned with an automatic power soft top, the John Cooper Convertible’s distinctively appointed cabin features Mini Connected system with 6.5-inch display and support for app integration as well as Mini Driving Modes and Performance Control. In addition to a plethora of personalization colors, trims and accessories offered on all Mini Convertibles, the JCW variant also offers an 18-inch wheel/tire upgrade and Head-Up Display.
