Most of the recent attention on Subaru’s electric vehicle lineup has focused on its three newest models, the Trailseeker, Uncharted, and Getaway, but the recently overhauled Solterra remains a key part of the automaker’s catalog, and it’s entering 2027 without a price increase. The compact electric SUV retains its $38,495 manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) with only a slight $25 increase in delivery charges, bringing the starting price to $39,970 for the 2027 model year.
The Solterra received a significant update for the 2026 model year, which brought a longer driving range, more horsepower, and a North American Charging System (NACS) charging port. As a result, there are no notable changes for 2027, helping keep the price flat for the new model year.

The Japan-built 2027 Subaru Solterra is due on dealers’ lots in fall 2026. Four trims are available:
- Solterra Premium: $39,970 (includes $1,475 destination fee)
- Solterra Limited: $42,870
- Solterra Limited XT: $44,370
- Solterra Touring XT: $47,330
Subaru also offers premium and two-tone paint options, priced from $475 to $970.
All Solterra models come standard with all-wheel drive (AWD), and two powertrain options are available. The Premium and Limited models have a dual-motor setup with 233 hp, while the Limited XT and Touring XT configurations boost output to 338 hp.
Both systems use a 74.7-kWh battery, which delivers an EPA-estimated 288 miles of range for the Premium trim and 278 miles for the others. The 2027 Solterra comes with a factory-installed North American Charging System (NACS) port and supports maximum charging speeds of 150 kW.
Standard tech features include a 14-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM, and connected app services with a 5-year free trial. Subaru EyeSight advanced driver-assistance features also come standard, which include adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, front cross-traffic alerts, and more.
