- Lexus has eliminated the least-expensive version of its NX compact SUV for the 2026 model year
- Buyers can now opt for the F Sport package at every trim level
The Lexus NX compact SUV will get more expensive for the 2026 model year, but buyers considering the model will get more choices than ever.
Lexus will trim the base model from the lineup. Equipped with a non-turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, the NX 250 offered buyers the oasis-like calm of a Lexus cabin with rather lackadaisical performance but a lower price. It drops from the lineup.
That’s quickly becoming a pattern with 2026 cars. As automakers cope with new tariff costs, some have begun dropping low-cost base trims from their offerings. Ending this one takes the introductory price of the NX up by about $4,000.
The NX 350 is the new low-end model, and at $46,120 with delivery fees, it’s only $100 more expensive for the new year.
Lexus will introduce a front-wheel drive (FWD) 350h hybrid for 2026, giving shoppers access to hybrid power without paying for all-wheel drive (AWD).
Shoppers can also now opt for the F Sport Handling package with any trim level.
The only other notable change for 2026 is a new dual-voltage charging cable for the NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid models, which can now be plugged into a standard wall outlet or a Level 2 charger.
