This is a big year for Porsche. In addition to celebrating the 50th anniversary of its iconic 911, the automaker also managed to rack up its 5 millionth "like" on Facebook. To duly mark that auspicious social media occasion, it asked those loyal followers for their opinions regarding the creation of a trick one-off 911 5M Porsche Fans variant. Some 54,000 voters took Porsche up on the offer, and the result is this uniquely "crowd-sourced" vehicle.

Based on a 2013 911 Carrera S4 and created in concert with the firm’s Porsche Exclusive operation, the 5M Porsche Fans edition is finished in Aqua Blue Metallic. It features a Cup Aerokit that adds competition flair in the form of a deeper front spoiler and fixed rear wing, rides on white-finished 20-inch Carrera S alloys and boasts a unique "5M Porsche Fans" body side accent stripe. Adding a bit more muscle to the mix, the car’s 3.8-liter naturally aspirated flat-6 is fitted with the optional Powerkit that pumps its pony count from 400 to 432. Inside, this distinctive one-off has blue ambient lighting, custom door sills and a unique dash plaque that reads "Personally built by 5 million Porsche fans."
