SAE J3068 is the European standard EV charging connector capable of delivering up to 300 amperes of current at 480 volts. There are both AC and DC versions of this connector. This standard also goes by the name “Mennekes” or Type 2 connector. The J3068 connector is not compatible with the SAE J1772 standard used in the United States. See also ChaDeMo, SAE.
