  • Nissan Frontier RONIN gets a twin-turbo V6 and off-road upgrades.
  • Nissan Pathfinder XE-V6 brings back original retro styling.
  • Armada Jungle Patrol is built for a safari-inspired look.

Nissan unveiled three off-road concepts Monday at the 2026 SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) aftermarket automotive trade show in Las Vegas. The rugged concepts build on the rugged PRO-4X trim line for the Frontier, Pathfinder, and Armada.

These concept vehicles show what’s possible when owners personalize their rides. They aren’t intended for production, but they’re a way for car enthusiasts and shoppers to explore new accessories and features.

Nissan Frontier RONIN Concept

The Frontier RONIN starts with a 3.8-liter V6 engine. Nissan adds twin turbochargers to boost power, but Nissan didn’t disclose how many more ponies they add to the standard 310-horsepower V6 in the 2027 Frontier.

The RONIN also uses suspension parts from Nissan’s larger Titan truck, which was discontinued in 2024. The suspension changes widen the Frontier’s track by 12 inches and raise it by 4 inches. That lets it fit 35-inch Geolandar X all-terrain tires wrapped around 17-inch Nismo beadlock wheels that are, judging by the pictures anyway, oddly cambered. The extra width and lift provide more ground clearance over rocks and other obstacles.

Nissan Pathfinder XE-V6 Concept

The Pathfinder XE-V6 celebrates 40 years of the Nissan Pathfinder 3-row SUV. Its retro design features standout color blends of red, black, charcoal, and silver. The XE-V6 name tag also comes from the first-generation Pathfinder’s 3.0-liter V6.

Nissan gives the Pathfinder concept a 4-inch lift and Geolandar off-road tires. It also includes raised bumpers to help clear obstacles, a roof rack for gear, and a swing-out full-size spare tire on the liftgate.

Nissan Armada Jungle Patrol

The Armada Jungle Patrol takes a significantly different approach than the other concepts. Nissan removes the roof of its full-size SUV and adds a metal roll cage. Instead of three rows of seats, Nissan swapped in inward-facing rear bench seats that can seat at least six people, like a proper safari vehicle.

It rolls on 37-inch Yokohama Geolandar tires and has an upgraded suspension with long-travel components that allow it to move farther over rough ground. It’s equipped with steel bumpers and fender flares, and Nismo off-road lights can illuminate the concept vehicle jungle in Sin City.

All three concept vehicles will be on display at Nissan’s SEMA booth at the Las Vegas Convention Center from Nov. 3-6.
