SAE J1772 is the standard plug format for Level 1 and Level 2 charging used in the United States, according to the SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) International. Commonly known as a J plug among EV owners. A CCS (Combined Charging System) plug is the same as a J1772 with two additional DC connectors. See also CHAdeMO
