You’ve often toyed with the idea, but never made a move before. Now’s the time. With a starting price of $21,790, it’s more affordable than the Mini Cooper. And it’s more powerful than the Fiat 500. The 2019 Beetle is both charming and zesty.
Anyone seeking a manual transmission should look at the Mini instead. And if four doors are preferable to two, then definitely locate the nearest Mini dealership. Although the Beetle’s 174 horsepower is stronger than the entry-level Mini’s 134 horsepower, the latter enjoys better fuel consumption (38-mpg highway).
