VinFast Cars and SUVs
VinFast is the first Vietnamese automaker and a part of the vast VinGroup conglomerate of Vietnam. VinFast launched its first cars in its home market in 2019, and later pledged to make only electric vehicles (EVs) going forward. The first VinFast model to come to the U.S. market is the all-electric VF 8, a 2-row SUV that was delivered to its first customer in March of 2023. To follow is the 3-row VF 9, with the smaller VF 6 and VF 7 in the pipeline. At launch, the VinFast VF 8 is available only in California. Starting at $49,000, it competes in a rapidly growing segment that includes the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, Ford Mustang Mach-E, and Nissan Ariya.
