I have seen a lot of comments that Sequoia has lousy mileage... Bottom line, if you want a vehicle this capable, in this price range, then mileage should really not be a factor. I get about 16 all around. Reality is, if you are looking for a vehicle that has a huge towing capacity, a vehicle this luxurious, with all these amenities, you will be hard pressed to find an alternate. i compared the Sequoia limited to a Tahoe... Tahoe was smaller, had a larger turning radius, smaller engine, smaller brakes and was noisier. comparably equipped, Tahoe was actually higher price. 5 year residual.. not even close. Tahoe towing capacity is overstated as is its actual real world mileage. Get your tax deduction on this truck.
Critical Review
I have purchased this vehicle new - Platinum. The 2nd day of ownership all the safety sensors started malfunctioning. Rear cross traffic, blind spot monitor, adaptive cruise control, breaking assist - collision prevention. I have taken the vehicle to the dealer and 2 months later is still not fixed, with no ETA in site. This is happening not only in Platinum models, but also on Limited 18 models. I do regret buying this vehicle. Toyota reliability is just a legend. My first and last Toyota.

Copious amounts of space. Bulletproof naturally aspirated 3UR-FE 5.7 liter V-8 engine. Reliable 6 speed Aisan transmission.
None for me.
Glad I purchased a new 2nd generation 2021 Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro employing that bulletproof naturally aspirated 3UR-FE 5.7 liter V-8 engine and reliable 6 speed Aisan transmission prior to this fiasco of TTV6s/I-4s cylinder deactivation, stop start debacles.
Very roomie. Power steering is great and has a very smooth ride. Have had this car 10 yrs and just drove from Tx to Florida and back with no problem. AC still works great. Highway miles it actually gets decent miles.
Spacious, powerful, reliable, utility, looks
Gas mileage
We bought this car a year ago used. The power is perfect even when it is fully loaded down with our whole family of 6 and sams club packed trips. We have already had to use the locking differential on a skiing trip and it handled it like a dream when compared to my brothers 3500 Duramax (2019) and my dads 2012 Tundra. We plan on having this car for a very long time. You can't go wrong with owning a Toyota like this.
Spacious car with very strong engine, very good feel driving on the freeway with 22s Trd rims with corsa exhaust pipes combined.

Big family and so comfortable Fun to drive,Turns on a dime.Easy to clean,4 wh.drive works great, very nice
I'll say it's earilly similar to my 07 tundra but that might be why I bought it actualy... Had a Ford for 2 years in between could not wait to go back to a Toyota and this Sequoia rides nicer than my tundra. I have no doubt I'll own this for ten years
