"Great Car for the Price"

Fun to drive and great car for the price!
Premature tire wear.
I bought this car new and its 11 yrs old with 195,000 miles on it and other than the original tires needing replacing at 30,000 miles, its been a very reliable car. The tire problem was fixed by going to a slightly taller tire with a harder compound. The paint is starting to fade because of the sun and no cover and a low idle rattle occurs now and it finally needs new struts. Everything is original! I cant complain but I think its time to replace it!

"Best Car. NEVER stops going"

Reliable, space
Plastic bumpers and trim, low front bumper
Owned it for a few years now. I have never had to do more than general maintenance. Even with the little hiccups, there has never been a performance issue. The engine light has come on periodically for silly stuff like the gas cap. I really cant complain about this car at all. It has a surprising amount of power. It has a good amount of space for such a small car. Overall, this car is great, it does not stop going. It is consistently reliable. I have plenty of friends with cars 10 years newer than mine and it is me picking them up off the side of the road. I have been able to get higher gas mileage than the estimate in long highway trips. The visibility is some of the best I have ever had. The blind spots are relatively small as well.Read less

2002 Suzuki Aerio

"My very favorite car"

fun to drive, ++ fuel economy, low upkeep
finding parts, heat shields rust
I have had this car for 14 years now, purchased it brand new 7/1/2002 for $17,000+, and it now has 111,500 miles. It has been relatively low maintenance, with the usual upkeep and replacements due to wear and tear. The only major cost I've had so far is the fuel pump which went a few years ago. The only other minor problems I've had were the heat shields, which began to rust and rattle early-on, until eventually they were all removed. Even after all these years, driving is still very fun and rather zippy for a small automatic engine, with and a very responsive gas pedal. I also love that the break pedal is soft, so I don't give my riders whiplash! The seats are comfortable, and I have taken road trips with no issues. It drives fairly enough on snow, that the only time I've had any issue was this past February where a sudden freezing-rain put me in a snow bank after sliding through a curve. My only complaint: Suzuki no longer sells in the USA, and finding replacement parts is getting harder and harder.Read less
