"Wonderful car all around"

This was my first car that my parents bought for me with 147k on it. Lots of power and rides perfect. I still own the car it now has 217k on it the motor has not been rebuilt ever and still runs great. Had to replace parts which is going to happen over time, but nothing that was out of the ordinary. After owning this vehicle with the AWD I will never own a FWD vehicle it can go places my parents truck will now go! Only left my on the side of the road twice which weren't things that could have been found out until they happened. a blown hose line once and my fuel pump went the other time. I would recommend this car or any Subaru to anyone honestly they know how to build a good solid car. The only downside is that the body is rusting slightly.

Critical Review

"1993 Subaru Legacy L Wagon"

Just bought one from my boss. Has been a company car since new and we're finally getting a new company car after 15 years so I bought the old one. It's great in the snow and It is excellent on gas. Really what I need to get back and fourth to work in these hard economic times. I like how the subaru handles but it's mainly because it's all wheel drive but Its nice and tight and predictable. The engine is alittle underpowered and could use a couple more horsies to make this vehicle alittle more user friendly. Built to top quality and reliability its styling cues arent as bad as some other car I seen but they arent exactly the finest more exquisite designs I seen either. Extremely comfortable with relaxed seating in the front and rear leave you with a pretty descent commuter vehicle for the price and availability of this car.

Best cars I've ever owned
Pros

super reliable

Cons

seats are small, and not much to look at.

I've owned 11 90's Subaru legacy wagons and couldn't really ask for a better car. I bought my first 1990 which turned me into a Subaru FAN, I've since owned 13 Subaru's and they are the most reliable car ever. 3 of the cars have around 300,000 miles and still run perfect and all have had synthetic oil in them. Oddly enough the cars are worth much more than I paid for them years ago. I also love my SVX except for the transmission issues. Such a nice car to drive.

To many extras to list and everything works..one owner car ment condition. I hop in it and it is just like driving a brand new car. I will just say this it is a one of a kind car...you will never see in the US.

love this car

bought this car with 180,000 miles on it and now it was 217,000 runs great. Only thing i can complain about this car is the driver side window doesnt roll down and cant find any parts to replace it and some other mechanical issues, but nothing that affects how it drives. Drives good in the snow with minimal slipping and all around an amazing car.

Best Car Ever
Pros

Great price, easy fix, reliable, low maintenance

Cons

NONE!

I bought this car with 70K miles on it in about 6 months i put 15K miles on it and it never even shock when i had it on the highway, the car is 24 years old!and this was before i did any maintenance. The older gentleman that sold it to me took poor care of it and rarely used it so some upkeep was due. Replaced the breaks, shocks, rack & pinion and the exhaust system (due to rusting from salt). The car doesn't have any mechanical issues, and it feels like a brand new car on the highway, its made out of solid metal and weighs a healthy amount, for the snow. I am going to have this car probably for another 24 years and i am pretty sure it will still be around.

It's a 1991, it's a trooper, minor oil leaks,

This car has been reliable since I bought it in 2006. R front window doesn't work. It's a little fragile but has needed minimal work. Transmission is original.

I love this car.
Pros

just a great car overall.

Cons

the rear fenders rust easily

I have had this car for 15 years. She had 70,000 when I bought her and I have racked up 350,000 on it. The biggest expense I did to it was replace the transmission. It just runs and runs. I don't baby this car. I am full throttle all the time on the highway. The body doesn't look the greatest and I guess that is one thing I would ask Subaru to change if they could because everyone I see has the rear fender rusting out. Regular oil changes and you can't go wrong with this car.
