"This is my first Saab. Bought is with 89,000 miles. Florida car. 2.0 turbo manual is quick and responsive. Lots of fun!! The clutch isn't that great and takes some getting used to. Lubricating it regularly improves its ease of use. Seems like converting the clutch to hydraulic could lead to many years of continued use of the car. I am considering changing mine over. Pre-mature clutch failure may happen without the hydraulic clutch. The SE models climate control is great!! The dash display lists miles per gallon and outside temperature, to name a few. Gas mileage is really good!!! 25 - 30 mpg with turbo!! Very happy with that considering its quickness. Quality of the asseesories - fair. Assessory design is not up to par with the rest of the car. The plastic housing (SE) on the electric seat swithches are not designed well and can break. The lights that are on the side panels on the SE Convertible fall out . The seats are comfortable. SE models have seat heaters which are nice for the cold weather here in Buffalo. I really love the car. It seems like you can pick them up pretty cheap considering what you're getting. I wish I thought of buying a Saab sooner. Other reviews of the 900 SE seem to reflect overall satisfaction."
"For the most part, this is a great car. A bit uncomfortable, with terrible blind spots, and parts are EXPENSIVE! Great power, good ride, and decent fuel milage too. (I get 29-30 mpg) This car is excellent in the snow, and as old as it is, with 130k miles, still very reliable."
"THe Saab 900 SE is a great vehicle. It has olid handling, comfortable seats and a lot of instrumentation (climate control, computer etc.). The only caveat is that sometime the instrumentation (not the car) has relaiability issues. For instance the RPM guage in my car only works one day in a month."
