The 2026 Honda CR-V just had its best first-half sales ever, and the hybrid version is helping to drive those numbers thanks to its strong feature set, available tech, practicality, and its new TrailSport trim.
If you’re looking for a right-sized family crossover SUV that can be configured for a wide range of drivers and uses, you’re in the right place.
These are three of our favorite features of the 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid.

1. Standard wireless smartphone integration
Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay plus wireless charging make for a hassle-free phone integration experience that’s available to just about anyone, regardless of phone or preferred tech platform. If you’re already a CarPlay or Android Auto user, there’s zero learning curve. Once you’ve connected the first time, it’s the sort of system that just works every time you go for a drive.
2. Available Google Built-in
Included only in the top-spec Sport Touring trim, this system replaces the standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto setup with a Google-only system that integrates deeply with services like Assistant, Maps, and the Play store. If you’re already deep in the Google ecosystem, this should feel like coming home every time you open the door. The system lets you make phone calls, adjust the climate controls, navigate to destinations, or even download new audiobooks or music, all via voice commands.

3. Efficiency
This is, after all, the main reason to buy a hybrid over the non-hybrid alternatives, and the 2026 CR-V Hybrid doesn’t disappoint. Despite offering a large cabin with plenty of space and capability for daily activities, it nets up to 40 mpg combined in base, front-wheel drive (FWD) form. Fuel economy is still great even on the lowest-rated trim, the off-road-themed TrailSport, which scores 35 mpg combined.
