The Hyundai Palisade was redesigned for 2026, and one of its biggest changes is the addition of a hybrid option. The new Palisade is so good that it earned our Kelley Blue Book Best Buy Award in the midsize SUV class, and we think the hybrid powertrain makes a great SUV even better. Here are our three favorite things about the 2026 Hyundai Palisade Hybrid.
1. Hybrid Efficiency
The Hyundai Palisade Hybrid gets a fuel economy rating of up to 33 city/35 highway/34 combined mpg. That’s a 61% improvement in efficiency over the V6-powered Palisade. The better fuel economy also comes with better performance. The Palisade Hybrid produces 329 horsepower (the non-hybrid makes 287), delivering a satisfying driving experience. With better fuel economy and better performance, there’s really no reason not to go with the hybrid if your budget allows.
2. Outstanding Warranty
The Hyundai Palisade Hybrid is backed by a 5-year/60,000-mile basic warranty and a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty. That’s the best warranty coverage in the midsize SUV class, giving the owner extra peace of mind. The typical warranty coverage among the Palisade Hybrid’s competitors is a 3-year/36,000-mile basic warranty and a 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty.
3. Spacious Interior
The Hyundai Palisade got roomier with its 2026 redesign, and now it’s one of the most spacious and family-friendly options in midsize SUVs. The third row has 32.1 inches of legroom, enough for average-sized adults, and there’s 19.1 cubic feet of cargo room behind the third row. That’s more cargo room than the Honda Pilot, Ford Explorer, and Nissan Pathfinder. The Palisade Hybrid is a midsize SUV that’s good for families who will actually use the third row every day.
