Refreshed for the 2026 model year, the 3-row Honda Pilot sports a boxier, bolder presence. It’s roomy, safe, reliable, and now features updated tech. The versatile cabin is also more insulated for a quieter ride. Up to eight passengers can enjoy the Pilot with plenty of legroom and storage space to travel comfortably.
With seven trims to choose from, there’s bound to be a Pilot to meet the needs of your family. With above-average resale values, the Pilot is a smart value, too. Here are our three favorite things about the 2026 Honda Pilot.
1. Ample Storage
Our editors love that the center console opens to reveal an accessory-friendly bin. This space can fit a purse, tablet, snacks, or water bottles. Speaking of beverages, the Pilot also comes with 14 cup holders, eight of which can fit 32-ounce bottles. Then there’s the ample space for gear: When the second and third rows are folded, 87 cubic feet of storage is available. You still get 18.6 cubic feet behind the third row. That’s plenty of space for multiple carry-on bags. Depending on the trim, there’s even room to store the nifty removable middle seat in the second row.
2. Interior Details
The roominess and design details in the cabin help to make the Pilot’s interior feel like a retreat. Textured wood-like surfaces grace the cup holders and door panels for an upscale feel. Diamond-pattern stitching on the upper adds a luxurious aesthetic to balance the more rugged exterior.
3. Seating Arrangements
Taking a cue from Honda’s Odyssey, seats in the Pilot can be customizable. The Pilot offers a second-row bench seat that can be folded down to serve as an armrest or removed. Simply press a button and lift a latch to remove the seat, which fits neatly under the cargo floor. This handy feature comes in all but the Sport and TrailSport trims. Additionally, one-touch second-row seats are standard across the lineup, enabling them to tilt and slide forward at the push of a button. This makes it easy for passengers of any age to access the third row.
