2025 Kia Telluride: Our Favorite Features and Tech

The 2025 Kia Telluride remains a top-notch option in its class, offering spacious seating, a generous cargo area, and modern technology. The Telluride skips the 2026 model year in advance of the redesigned 2027 Telluride, but that doesn’t take away from its top ranking in our Best Midsize SUVs of 2026. That applies to the base model, the LX trim. It includes notable features such as a smart key with remote start, push-button start, navigation, and full-speed adaptive cruise control. However, as with any other car, the higher up you go in the trim ladder, the more desirable features are unlocked.

While we anxiously await the 2027 Telluride release, let’s look at some of our favorite tech and other features.

Dual Panoramic Displays

2024 Kia Telluride

A pair of 12.3-inch displays comes on most versions of the Kia Telluride. One is a digital gauge cluster, and the other is the central touchscreen for infotainment. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay functionality are included, and all but the base LX comes with wireless device charging. A dual-screen setup like this one is becoming pretty common in this class, but the Telluride’s screens are some of the most user-friendly that we’ve tested.

Highway Driving Assist 2

This optional semi-autonomous driving system is one of our favorites of its kind. The acceleration, braking, and steering assistance are smooth and never feel intrusive. Your hands still need to remain on the wheel, but it operates seamlessly to keep you safely centered in your lane, and it maintains a safe distance from the car in front of you while assisting with steering.

Navigation-Based Smart Cruise Control

2023 Kia Telluride X-Line

Many cars in this class come standard with adaptive cruise control, but the Kia Telluride also features a navigation-based system that includes stop-and-go and curve control. That means the system restarts from a stop in tedious stop-and-go traffic, and the car knows when you are approaching a curve on the highway and can adjust its speed accordingly for a natural-feeling drive.

SX-Prestige Trims

The SX-Prestige models in the Telluride lineup rival more expensive luxury SUVs. Premium features include Nappa leather seating, heated and ventilated first- and second-row seats, a heated steering wheel, a head-up display, and a Harman Kardon premium audio system. If you haven’t sat in a Kia in a while, this level of luxury may surprise you.

X-Pro

2023 Kia Telluride X-Pro

The Telluride trims with ‘X-Pro’ in the name deliver off-road capabilities that match its more rugged appearance. This version of the Telluride features 8.4 inches of ground clearance for rough terrain (8.0 inches is standard), a self-leveling rear suspension for a smoother ride, all-terrain tires, roof rails, a 5,500-pound towing capacity (5,000 pounds is standard), and improved approach and departure angles.
