A Look Inside the 2025 Nissan Rogue

After a substantial midgeneration update last year, Nissan’s compact 2-row, 5-passenger SUV sees more change in 2025. Last year saw styling and feature updates inside and out to the Rogue, and this year Nissan added a new trim level, Rock Creek, which gives it a more off-road-ready look and feel.

The Rogue is now available in five trim levels: S, SV, Rock Creek, SL, and Platinum. Adding the new variant should help it better compete with rivals like the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, and Hyundai Tucson. The new trim package isn’t the only update; upper levels of the Rogue also enjoy some new technology.

Let’s take a look at what the Nissan Rogue offers inside.

Passenger Room and Comfort

If you buy a Nissan, you will likely get some of the best seats in the industry. The NASA-inspired Zero Gravity seats ensure the Rogue’s front seat passengers arrive at their destination refreshed and alert. If you move past the entry-level S trim (which we suggest), you get an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat and either optional or standard heated front seats, depending on trim.

The second row is a 60/40 split bench that we’ve found reasonably comfortable. It reclines some and, in the top Platinum trim, can be heated. At 38.5 inches, the second row offers plenty of leg room. This is about the norm for the segment, which means the majority of adults should be just fine back there for most trips.

Features and Tech

While more and more vehicles are coming equipped with Google built-in, the Rogue was the first Nissan to get this impressive tech. It features Google Automotive Services, or GAS, which offers access to Google Maps, Google Assistant, and the Google Play Store. If you’re a loyal user of Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, don’t fret — you’re still covered.

The standard audio system in the Rogue is OK, but if you move up to the Premium model, you can select the 10-speaker Bose Premium Sound System, and it’s a concert-like sound. All of this technology is funneled through an 8-inch touchscreen. A 12.3-inch screen is the norm starting with the SL package, and it’s how you gain access to Google built-in.

The Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard for all models. It features automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, high beam assist, blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning, rear automatic braking and rear cross-traffic alert, and more. Adaptive cruise control is standard in all but the base trim.

The Rogue now offers ProPILOT Assist 2.1 on the SL and Platinum models. This system enables hands-free driving on certain roads.

Materials and Design

Nissan continues to push for its interiors to look and feel better than “mainstream.” Although cloth is standard for the S and SV trim levels, the brand’s Prima-Tex faux leather material can be had at the SV level as part of the SV Premium Package.

As you move up the chain, the material choices get better, including leather for the SL models and semi-aniline quilted leather for the top-of-the-line Platinum variant. The new Rock Creek option’s enhancements include water-repellent leatherette seating with unique inserts, Lava Red accent stitching and piano black dashboard trim.

Cargo Room and Flexibility

Behind the rear seat is a luggage area of 31.6 cubic feet. Folding the rear seat creates a maximum cargo area of 74.1 cubic feet. Although a couple of rivals — the Honda CR-V and Hyundai Tucson — provide more space, the Rogue’s cargo numbers are above average for the segment.

There is a notable exception for the cargo space, as the SL and Platinum models actually provide up to 36.5 cubic feet of space when the available Divide-N-Hide cargo system is in the low position. Divide-N-Hide gives you additional flexibility with six storage configurations.
