Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"Ride can be a little stiff over all but the smoothest roads is only complaint I have. Great value, great driving position, The quality of the materials first rate. Wish they imported the 2011 model. Happy to hold on to mine. Very reliable."

"This is my wife's car. We bought it 5 yrs ago with 22000 miles - now has 72000. We have never had any major troubles, although we now have a very small oil leak that needs to be fixed - probably a result of my wife driving so many short trips. All in all this is our favorite vehicle we have ever owned. My wife says this car is to her like a gun is to Charlton Heston, the only way to get it from her is out of her cold dead hands. :) Best attributes - comfort, styling, great driving position/visibility and it goes anywhere in the snow. Worst - 12 mpg city, about 20 highway. And, routine maintenance costs a small fortune. As others have said, too bad Mitsu stopped making them. I will never understand why this vehicle wasn't more popular in the states."

"The Montero was a great pick for me. I was looking for a large SUV that had a third row that would completly disappear. I was also looking for a great leather package and somedifferent design features. Those different features came in an enormous sun roof, dual compartment center console, powre everything, heated seats. Also, if your on a road trip and you want to take a quick nap, this vehicle is perfect. The front seats lay completly down and they meet with the back seat. You get the closest feeling to a bed that I have ever experienced in a car. Plus, it didn't hurt to get zero percent financing. The only minor question I had was why they decided to put in cheap mirrors for the driver and passenger visors. Also, this big vehicle must attract bugs. They migrate to the front of the vehicle on road trips. The gas milage could be better, but what do you expect with a big SUV. The car comfortably sits 5 grown men and must have been designed for a large person with bucket seats this big. Overall, I love it."
