Pros: "Roomy, sure-footed AWD, cheap to operate"

Cons: "Differential, lazy transmission"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 6

"At some point, you're probably going to have to replace the differential. Try looking for one that's already had it done in the past 50-80k miles. And yes, the rear tailgate is going to crack. Don't bother fixing it. Other than that, basic upkeep has kept it running. My AWD V8 model is a bit noisy and thirsty on fuel but not significantly worse than anything comparable. It's a fine towing vehicle and is sure-footed in most driving situations. Transmission is pretty lazy but it has more than enough power when you get into it. Cargo capacity is good and it's roomy enough in the first two rows. If you can get one with a new diff, go for it. If not, you'll want to budget an additional $1000-1300. I'll probably get a 4Runner as my next car but this was a fine first car overall."

Pros: "VERY RELIABLE AND COST FRIENDLY, HAS THREE ROWS"

Cons: "THIRD ROW IS EXTREMELY SMALL, TRUCK SPACE SUCKS"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 7

"I LIKED THIS VECHICLE A LOT. I DO NOTICE THAT SOMETHING IS ALWAYS WRONG WITH THE WHEELS. FROM BARRINGS AND JOINTS. ALMOST EVERY YEAR I HAVE TO GET NEW TIRES, AND TH TIRES ARENT CHEAP BY FAR. HAS ALIGNMENT ISSUES ALL THE TIME, WHICH DISAPPOINTMENTS ME ESP BECAUSE I KNOW THAT I ALWAYS AVOID POTHOLES ETC. I HAVE 6 KIDS AND HAS PLENTY OF ROOM TO FIT THEM. THE TRUNK SPACE SUCKS ESP DURING TRAVELING. ONLY LITTLE KIDS CAN SIT IN THE THIRD ROW, NO ADULTS."

Its OK. No more.

"Replaced differential gears and will have to do it again due to humming noise in rear end starting at 60 MPH. Panel under rear window cracks vertically in the middle. Already replaced once and needs to be done again."

Pros: "Great Family SUV"

Cons: "We're old and the family is off on their own."

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"In addition to everything else listed, this SUV features Two Way opening for the rear tail gate, Power locks and alarm plus keyless entry. Safety features include driver and passenger side air bags. Then there's heated seats, bucket seats and rear facing third row seating. Did I mention the Trailering Package, Running Boards with Side Steps. Great Car ... Great Price."
