Those seeking actual off-road ability in a small SUV would be better served spending $35,000 on a Subaru Outback, Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk or Land Rover Evoque. Those who prefer the security of carrying a spare tire won’t feel very good about the GLA’s run-flat-only option.
