If your practical side needs a sedan that does usual sedan duties but your heart craves something that quickens its pulse when the road curves, the solution is the Mazda6. Throw in impressive efficiency, great looks and — for those who wish — a crisp manual transmission, and you’ve got a winner.
Unlike its rivals, you won’t find hybrid, turbo or V6 variants of the Mazda6. If you want all-wheel drive, you’ll also have to look elsewhere (a Subaru Legacy is a good place to start). The Mazda6’s swoopy exterior design, meanwhile, compromises some interior room, especially in the rear.
