The 2026 Lincoln Navigator L is a full-size luxury SUV with lots of space, fresh tech, and serious capability.
The Lincoln Navigator L is the bigger, roomier version of Lincoln’s flagship SUV, which helped define the full-size luxury SUV segment. Now in its fifth generation, the Navigator L continues to deliver space, capability, and tech in a refined package. Like its Cadillac Escalade ESV rival, it’s built for those who need generous passenger and cargo room without sacrificing luxury. And yes, it can handily tow a boat or trailer when needed.
We’ve logged hundreds of hours driving and evaluating this generation of full-size luxury SUVs, including the Lincoln Navigator L.
Every 2026 Navigator L now includes the Lincoln Connectivity Package as standard. That means 5G connectivity for the Lincoln Digital Experience, Wi-Fi hot spot unlimited use, streaming capability, a voice assistant, and productivity tools.
The Navigator L Reserve remains the likely volume trim, but Reserve and Black Label push the Navigator L into premium territory. For context, the Cadillac Escalade ESV starts around $93,000 (about $10,000 less than the Navigator L) while the Jeep Grand Wagoneer L starts near $87,000. The much shorter Lexus LX costs slightly more at the base level and tops out higher than the Navigator L. Overall, the Navigator L’s price lands near the middle of its class, despite starting in six-figure territory.
Before buying, check the Kelley Blue Book Fair Purchase Price for real-world pricing. The Lexus LX has the strongest resale value among competitors, while the Navigator L’s is typically a bit below average. The more you can recoup when it’s time to sell your car, the better you’ll be able to afford the next one.
Despite its size, the 2026 Navigator L is easy to maneuver and never feels underpowered. Its twin-turbo V6 and standard 4-wheel drive (4WD) deliver smooth, confident acceleration without intruding on the cabin’s quietude. Adaptive suspension scans the road ahead and adjusts damping in real time for a very composed ride.
The 48-inch panoramic display sits high to help keep your eyes on the road, and BlueCruise hands-free driving reduces fatigue and driver attention load on mapped highways. While its coverage isn’t as broad as GM’s Super Cruise or Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (Supervised), and it can disengage unexpectedly when lane markings fade, it performs well in most conditions.
When properly configured, the Navigator can tow up to 8,700 pounds.
Fuel Economy
The 2026 Navigator L matches its standard-wheelbase sibling at 17 mpg combined, competitive for the class. The Escalade comes in at 16 mpg, while the Lexus LX manages 19 mpg combined.
The cabin’s highlight is Lincoln Rejuvenate, a feature designed for use while parked. Sessions last five or 10 minutes and combine massage, visuals, sound, and aromatherapy with themes like Waterfall, Aurora Borealis, and Elemental displayed on the interior screens.
Front seats offer 24-way adjustment for the driver and 22-way for the passenger, with Black Label models adding 30-way seats. The 48-inch display and 28-speaker Revel audio system put the high-tech crowns on the experience.
Second-row captain’s chairs can be equipped with heating, ventilation, power adjustment, and massage, or you can opt for a semi-powered bench. The third row offers a 40/20/40 split, optional heating, and up to 43.5 inches of legroom — more than the second row’s 42-inch maximum.
As you might expect in the Navigator L, cargo space is generous: There’s 36.1 cubic feet behind the third row and 121.6 cubic feet total, slightly less than the Escalade ESV but competitive with the Grand Wagoneer L, and well beyond the capacities of most other large luxury SUVs.
The 2026 Navigator L carries forward last year’s all-new design and is still an immediately recognizable icon. Large LED lighting front and rear, including a full-width light bar, and new fender accents highlight its extended, clean profile, imposing front end, and sizable body.
The standard wheels measure 22 inches in diameter, and 24-inch options are available. These are big but well-proportioned for this SUV’s size.
Lincoln Rejuvenate
This spa-inspired system turns downtime into an experience. When parked, Rejuvenate combines massage, ambient visuals on the display, curated soundscapes, and aromatherapy through Lincoln Digital Scent. Sessions offer themes like Waterfall, Aurora Borealis, and Elemental, which are perfect for a quick reset before the next leg of your trip.
Interior Design
Step inside and you’ll see why the Navigator L stands out. Real wood trim and premium Wollsdorf leather create a refined and welcoming cabin.
48-inch Panoramic Display
The dash-spanning 48-inch screen is as functional as it is impressive. It delivers crisp, high-resolution visuals for navigation, entertainment, and vehicle information, all positioned high for easy visibility.
Unique Steering Wheel
Lincoln redesigned the steering wheel with practicality in mind. A flat bottom makes getting in and out easier, while a flat top keeps your view of the display and the road clear. It’s also heated and leather-wrapped by default, adding comfort and elegance to smart design.
Black Label Atmospheric
For those who want something even more extra than the “regular” Black Label, the Black Label Atmospheric theme brings exclusive design touches. Think 24-inch Radiant Copper-painted wheels, copper-toned exterior accents, and a coordinated interior theme that ties it all together for a distinctive look.
BlueCruise
Lincoln’s hands-free driving system takes the edge off long trips by handling steering and speed on mapped highways. While its coverage isn’t as broad as some competitors, it performs well where available, making highway driving more relaxed and less tiring.
Every 2026 Navigator L uses a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 with 440 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque. Power delivery is handled by a 10-speed automatic and standard 4WD. An optional heavy-duty towing package (standard on Black Label models) raises towing capacity to 8,700 pounds.
Lincoln provides a 4-year/50,000-mile new-vehicle warranty and a 6-year/70,000-mile powertrain warranty, which are within norms for the luxury SUV segment. Roadside assistance lasts for as long as you own the vehicle, which is longer than most.
The 2026 Navigator L hasn’t yet been rated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) or Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Previous models earned NHTSA’s top 5-Star overall rating.

The 2026 Lincoln Navigator L is 11.9 inches longer overall than a standard wheelbase Navigator, with a 9-inch longer wheelbase.
The only differences between the long-wheelbase Navigator L and the standard-wheelbase Navigator are the longer wheelbase and overall length, and the extra cargo space they create.
The Lincoln Navigator L arrived with the debut of the third-generation Navigator lineup in 2006 for the 2007 model year.
