Exclusivity and capability are Land Rover hallmarks, and with its available diesel engine and 7-passenger seating, it even nods toward practicality. On the other hand, equip it with the supercharged V8, and the Range Rover Sport gives the Porsche Cayenne a run for its money.
The Range Rover Sport isn’t the only game in town, and if you’re seeking an SUV with luxury, capability and status for a lower price, there are the Acura MDX, Audi Q7, Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class and BMW X5. Also note that reliability is not a Land Rover strong suit.
