Positive Review
I am just turning 70 with some physical problems like sciatica and lower back pain. I am about 5'6"tall. I have been looking for a small hatchback for about a year and test drove about 8-9 cars that fit the bill. For ME the priorities were 1. Seat comfort 2. Ability to see over stearing wheel 3. Roominess for errands at home lumber stores, etc 4. Clearance off the ground---ie. some cars hit curb when parking 5. Fun to drive 6. Last but not least: price under $25k There are a number of cars that have better gas mileage and equal roominess, but only one other of them had seats with power assisted drivers seat and lumbar support because they cater to a younger crowd. Kia hit the mark with this car for my age group as well as younger with all the cool technology. It is easy to get in and out of, is peppy enough to pass if needed, has plenty of room, tight enough handling and VERY comfortable. Could have a little better gas milage, but not the make or break feature for me. The warranty is great as well. I love this car every time I get in it!
Critical Review
The engine on my 2017 Kia Soul + seized. All of my maintenance was up to date. The Kia service department wants to charge me $6,000 for repairs. I am the second owner of the vehicle. Kia won't back their own product. There is no warranty coverage. So now I have an expressive lump of metal... Last Kia I will ever buy (was my second).

Value Styling Quality Performance Comfort
Sorry design, fuel efficient, smooth suspension. Impressive interior looks, comfortable seats heated. Nice sounding stereo infinity. Plenty of head, and leg room. Reliability is good, I do have a warranty so no worries.
All positive, Reliable, Value, Quality, Comfort
Super fun to drive, and having good gas mileage in today's economy. Low cost service upkeep. Nice styling design, comfortable leather seats heated also air cooled. Xfinity stereo system, navigation, other apps. Panoramic sun roof is nice.
I love my 2016 Kia Soul. It has been consistently reliable, has lots of space for transporting all manner of things, and I feel safe in it. The steering has responded quickly to items that have fallen out of truck beds on the highway (twice) thus preventing accidents. Yes, it’s a four cylinder, but I have no need for any other vehicle.
It has great gas mileage and surprisingly comfortable.
Not good in snow.
If I had any complaints about it I would say it doesn't handle that well in snow, even a little bit triggers my brakes anti lock system and with good tires it doesn't have good traction. I live in Wisconsin just to let everyone know and alot of cars have issues during Wisconsin winters.
Great car, holds a lot, view from windows great, high off the ground, stick shift, garaged since purchase. No longer able to drive.
I bought this 2018 Kia Soul ! last last July, I thought it was just the base model because looking up the VIN never showed me the ! version, but I guess that was my first mistake. At first it was great, but at the beginning of the year, it started revving super high and not wanting to shift in certain gears. At first I thought it was the transmission going out. I come to figure out it was the dumb dual clutch system screwing up. They have had my car for 2 weeks trying to fix this and its costing me up to 3500 to fix, and I'm a poor college student. Safe to say, just Stay away from the Dual clutch and turbo version, its very unreliable and will break on you. I haven't even had the car for a year.
Recently, because of vision problems, I have given my car to my son who lives in Indiana. I am retired to Florida. I bought the car new in Florida. The car has never been wrecked and has no dents or scratches. It has been maintained by the dealership where it was purchased. It has rarely been 50 miles outside of the retirement community where I have lived. I also have a daughter, and I primarily want a quote so I can fairly compensate her an amount close to your quote. Thank you.
Only had the car for a year and a half brought at 78,000 and is currently at 98,000 miles. I've already had 2 Cadillac converters replaced and my engine rods. Overall all a good car but when problems come they come. If you have money saved up its a good car if not don't buy this car.
