The Jeep Wagoneer S is a fast, sleek, and high-tech electric midsize SUV that’s more luxurious than you might expect. Pricing starts at $67,195.
The Jeep Wagoneer S is an all-electric 2-row midsize SUV with a heavy helping of Jeep goodness. We don’t blame you if you’re confused by the name; “Wagoneer” is the same name Jeep is using for its full-size, 3-row, gas-powered SUV. The Wagoneer S is entirely different; it’s a midsize 2-row SUV that comes exclusively with a dual-motor electric powertrain. We’ve been impressed by its nicer-than-expected interior quality, eager performance, and cutting-edge technology we expect from a modern EV in this price range.
We’ve spent hundreds of hours driving and evaluating this generation of electric SUVs, including the Jeep Wagoneer S.
The Jeep Wagoneer came exclusively in the Launch Edition trim for its 2024 debut. For 2025, it adds a more affordable Limited trim with a dual-motor powertrain with 500 horsepower.
The 2025 Jeep Wagoneer S has a starting sticker price of $67,195, with the range-topping Wagoneer S Launch Edition kicking off at $72,195. But Kelley Blue Book Fair Purchase Pricing currently suggests paying $5,395 to $6,395 less than MSRP, depending on trim and equipment. These prices are updated weekly.
MSRP | KBB Fair Purchase Price (national avg.) | |||
|---|---|---|---|---|
$67,195 | $61,800 | |||
$72,195 | $65,800 |
Believe it or not, Cadillac’s midsize EV is cheaper than this Jeep. The Cadillac Lyriq starts in the low-$60,000 range, while the Ford Mustang Mach-E Performance and Tesla Model Y Performance both start at under $60,000.
Before buying a Wagonerr S, check the Kelley Blue Book Fair Purchase Price to know what you should really pay. Jeep Wagoneer S resale value is about average for the segment. Recouping more money when selling a vehicle can mean a bigger down payment and lower monthly payments on the next one.
The Wagoneer S is available in two potency levels, both of which have standard all-wheel drive (AWD). The Limited model makes 500 horsepower for a 0-60 mph time of 3.9 seconds, and the Launch Edition pumps out 600 hp for a half-second-quicker 0-60 sprint. We think the 500-horsepower Limited model is more than adequate for errand-running and spirited driving alike, delivering the swift acceleration we’ve come to expect in a premium EV like this.
Handling and braking are equally predictable. The extra weight inherent in EVs is noticeable in quick turns, but its manageable size ensures that the Wagoneer S never feels unwieldy. Different drive modes make for different driving experiences, and in typical Jeep fashion, the Wagoneer S is versatile enough for relaxed cruising, a little off-roading, or a sportier drive. We tested it out in snowy winter driving and never lost confidence while Snow mode was on.
The range of the Jeep Wagoneer S depends on the tire. The all-season Falken tires give it a range of up to 294 miles, while the optional Pirelli tires knock that number down to 262 miles. For reference, the Cadillac Lyriq, Ford Mustang Mach-E, and Tesla Model Y can all manage 320 miles or better in their most efficient forms.
Charge times are typical for the Wagoneer S. With DC Fast Charging (utilizing a CCS charge port), it can replenish its battery from 20 to 80 percent in as little as 23 minutes. If you have Level 2 charging at home, you can reliably get a full charge overnight.
Not everyone associates Jeep with luxury, but the Wagoneer S is a decidedly luxurious SUV that competes with more prestigious brands. The Limited trim has what Jeep calls Neo Ultra seats with fabric welt inserts, and the Launch Edition has fancier Neo Ultra Lux seating available in black or a bolder red. The seat comfort is excellent, and the steering wheel feels nice in the hands. However, we prefer physical climate controls over screen-based controls.
Expansive screens aren’t always easy to execute, but the screen-heavy dash in the Wagoneer S never feels overwhelming. Frankly, we think front passenger screens in general are a bit gimmicky, but there’s one available in the Wagoneer S if you’d like one. As for the screens you’ll actually use, the Uconnect 5 system is as intuitive and user-friendly as ever.
With 38 inches of rear legroom and 30.6 cubic feet of cargo room behind the back seats, the interior space of the Wagoneer S is par for the course for a midsize electric SUV.
We like the bold and sleek design of the Wagoneer S, which is modern while still looking distinctly like a Jeep. The cantilevered rear spoiler is a nice design touch that’s both subtle and daring. Standard 20-inch wheels are another nice touch on both trims.
Active Driving Assist
Jeep’s Active Driving Assist is a semi-autonomous driving system that makes highway drives a little safer and more relaxed. Keep a hand on the wheel and your eyes on the road, and the Wagoneer S stays safely centered in its lane at a safe distance from the car in front of you while helping with steering inputs.
Fast Charging
The Jeep Wagoneer S is capable of charging from 20 to 80 percent in as little as 23 minutes. This quick charging capability makes this EV ready for road trips without too much waiting around at the charging station.
McIntosh audio
The McIntosh 19-speaker audio system that’s optional in the Jeep Wagoneer S is simply one of the best audio systems we’ve ever tested. For audiophiles with the highest standards, this is a big selling point.
Selec-Terrain
We expect anything wearing the “Jeep” name to have some off-road chops, and the Wagoneer S delivers with standard all-wheel drive and the Selec-Terrain Traction Management System. It has Auto, Snow, Sand, Sport, and ECO drive modes, making it up for just about any terrain and weather.
Uconnect 5
Stellantis’s Uconnect is consistently one of our favorite infotainment systems for its straightforward interface and nice list of features. It has standard wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and, if you get the optional front passenger screen, it has a total of 45 inches of screen acreage.
All Jeep Wagoneer S models employ a 100.5 kWh battery pack fueling a dual-motor powertrain, with output depending on the trim (see above). With Falken tires, it achieves a combined efficiency rating of 93 MPGe, while the Pirelli tires yield an 83 MPGe rating. These ratings are comparable to those of the Cadillac Lyriq and Ford Mustang Mach-E GT, but the Tesla Model Y is notably more efficient, resulting in lower fuel costs.
The Jeep Wagoneer S is backed by a 3-year/36,000-mile basic warranty and a 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty. The high-voltage battery is covered by an 8-year/100,000-mile warranty.
