What Owners are Saying About the 1997 INFINITI J
"Thinking about another one..."
"I've liked the J30 since it came out in '93...my dad bought the 1st "Touring" model where we lived..I remember being so proud to get dropped off @ school in it...later, I bought a '97 model in '00...it had about 55k miles on it & felt great. After letting my little sister use it for her 1st two years in college, I took it back for myself & drove it another year. It got stolen & that ended my ownership. My dad still has his though, now 15 years old, with only 67k miles on it (they live in Hawaii)! The J30 is a great platform which is totally overlooked as a performance vehicle. Granted, it likes cruising more than swinging the tail out...but it can definitely do it despite its automatic transmission. I'm thinking about getting myself another one to use as a base for swapping in a Skyline GT-R motor with manual transmission (from Japan). Total sleeper...classy styling + monster turbo power. If you're in the market for something nice & smooth & classy...but you don't have alot of money...you will not regret giving the J30 a try. Infiniti's depreciate pretty quickly, so a nice clean one can be had for very little money! Sorry about the long rant, but as you can surely tell if you're still reading this far...I LOVE the J30! And so will you!"
"A handsome machine"
"My wife absolutely loves the car. The performance, the looks and comfort are great, to the point that I very seldom get to drive it. I get to drive on road trips. The car got rear-ended so badly that it will probably be totaled, but my wife walked away without a scratch. That has to speak volumes about the safety of the car."
"Just drive and love it!"
"I bought a '95 in 98. It had 30K and I've driven it almost another 100K. Changed the oil regularly; Did some warranty maintenance at 70K; but other than that... NOOOO problems. My wife went off the road in it on ice once. After some major repairs, and paint, to the body, it still runs like a top. I love this car, and it performs great. I plan to drive it until it starts costing me more than a car payment would."
