Positive Review
Bought my CRV last month, wow, I feel like a queen !!! Everything is just want I wanted. I was looking at a Nissan Rogue, glad I didn't buy it, hubby.s head was hitting the roof liner. Had an ice storm a few weeks ago and had no problem driving on the roads, but I do have the 4 WD. Panel lights blue, very cool. Every thing on the dash lights blue, radio and air controls. Controls on the wheel, stereo and cruse controls light up and door panel for windows and door locks light up which is so nice. Moon roof lets in a lot of light if panel is open, great on a dark day. Milage has been good, about 25 to 28 hwy driving. The leather is soft and a really nice feel and the arm rests are at the right height. My car insurance went down...can you believe that !! I went from a Toyota 2001 Echo, which is a baby car to the CRV and my car insurance went down because of all of the safety features, that really made me happy !! Just drive the CRV and see for yourself if it fits your family. I was going to drive a Toyota Rava, but I don't like the way the hatch opens, with a swing door I think it would be in the way. What ever you buy, just sit in the CRV and try it, you may like it.
Critical Review
Things are requiring service that seem to be the result of poor quality components. Over $3,000 in the last year

4 wheel, trunk space, durability, affordable maintenance, looks
this is the best card I’ve ever owned, I bought it in 2022 so it was 11 years old at the time and it was the most solid car Ive ever driven. The 4 wheel is perfect in the CT snow, how much I can haul is impressive, the back seats not only fold down but they roll forward for even more flat surface area. It’s easy to clean because it’s honestly utilitarian. I personally believe the look of the car is timeless, the back lights are beautiful and it’s inexpensive to maintain and great on gas. I will never sell this car EVER!
I absolutely love my 2008 CRV!! When it hit 100,000 miles, it did have some issues- head gasket blew, thermostat broke, and a radiator hose was leaking. That was 2 years ago. I’ve put another 50,000 on the car and it has had no issues since. The interior is very basic, which I actually prefer. We’ve taken it on roadtrips, car camping, off roading, in snow, the whole shabang. I don’t plan on getting rid of it any time soon.
Great car
The Catalytic converter is highly desired by thieves.
I've had this car since 2010 and it has caused me very little grief. I had the alternator repaired and a new air conditioner was required right after warranty expired by two weeks.
Which honda crv would be better to buy? 2009 or 2013? Im looking at both and just undecided. Ones a little more expensive and up tp date with technology ( 2013). But the 09 cheaper but seemd just as reliable. Someone please give me some good advice...
Reliable
Worn seats
Good shape. Seats worn. Runs well. No major issues yet. Has beefy tires and one small dent on side.
One female owner, Regular oil changes and maintenance, Newer tires, Remote Start, No Accidents, Sun Roof, WeatherTech floor and cargo mats. 189,000 Miles, many more to go!! Runs Great!!
This car had required a starter replacement and air conditioner compressor when it reached 80 and 90K miles. The TPMS is not working. I mention these facts because my friend has a 2008 Toyota Rav 4 and has NOT required any of these repairs and she has the same mileage on her car. Otherwise the car has been reliable!
