The 2017 GMC Sierra has no answer to the diesel-engine options from the Ram 1500 and Nissan Titan, both of which offer superior fuel-economy figures. If you just need light-pickup duty, you can find nearly equal bed and payload ability in a GMC Canyon or Toyota Tacoma.
