Critical Review
I bought my 1994 Taurus GL in November of 2007 when it had only 110,000 miles on the motor and trans. Sixteen hours after I bought it and paid for it, the water pump went out. Great. So after paying 140 something for that, the car was back to normal. I quickly realized that my car doesn't get the gas mileage that I thought it would. I know it is a 6-cylinder car but getting a little more than 175-200 miles MAX to the tank would seem to make a little more sense. It was a big change from my Accord to the Taurus. The car doesnt seem to have very much power behind the pedal which makes passing difficult and somewhat dangerous if you're use to the quick get-up and go from your previous car. You have to take your foot off, back off the person, and then hammer it down to get the speed you need to sling-shot your way around the car. The leather seats are extremely comfortable though with no complaints at all. I defiently love the electric seats that even have lumbar supports that you can control. The heat and A/C work beautifully and as expected and do not seem to pull power off the motor. The only thing I do not like about it is that there is only one cup holder in the entire car, so trying to find a place to put your extra drink is a little difficult. The floor shifter is nice but is difficult to put into gear in the cold. The trunk space is very deep and able to hold your groceries (or bodies, depending on your life choice). Overall, the car is very nice and I would probably go buy another one, maybe a SHO version instead of the GL version.

My car has low miles for the age of my car . And it has been taken care of . I mean the motor . I change my oil on my car regularly . It does have some front end of the car . In which it wouldn't take much to fix it . And my car has oil and transmission fluid leaks . Other than this my car is sound .
Good highway mileage, 300 miles quarter tank of ga
The Ford Taurus SHO and was one of the most fun sporty reliable family cars ever to be made in car making history my opinion. I own a second generation SHO, 20 years ago I had a red one currently I own a white one 1994 same year as the first one. The SHO has that beautiful Yamaha engine in it beautiful. The car came with many options moonroof power door locks keyless entry front running lights people call them fog lights spoiler on the back semi low profile rims tires. My car is automatic 24 Val super high output, for its day it was really a fast car for a family sedan. With a few modifications you could have a street legal race car, I totally enjoy this ride I call my car STORM aka SHO GirL.
Reliable, carrys 8 passengers (6 comfortably)
Low on power, weak front engine mount
Not the most powerful car but it gets a consistent 25 mpg and has lots of comfort features not found in many 26 year old cars. ABS ( pre obd 2) ice cold a/c, cruise control, Movable roof rack with built in tie downs, rear window wiper with washer and defroster grid. This car still has original oem complete exhaust system. Great year and 3.0 vulcan is smooth and reliable! What more can you ask for!
Excellent first car, Great from Point A to Point B
Not the best on gas, Bad if OEM parts are on it.
I bought this car around 2017 on my senior year for 500$ from an uncle, it was my first car and I loved driving it around and having my friends in it, sadly as of 3/9/2019 the car finally gave up and the engine blew on me. once I got it I did regular oil changes every 5,000 miles, and took great care of my car, since the previous owners (my uncle, cousin, and person who owned it originally) never did any maintenance it died on me, I was very sad to have to say goodbye to all the memories, and fun times I had with the car. But no car runs forever. I highly recommend this car for a first car, or for a college student because it can take you from point A to point B, just make sure to do some basic maintenance, if you see all the OEM (original) parts with the car. As for the gas, depending on your driving you will have to put 20 to 40 dollars a week since its a N/A V6 3.8 (I owned the GL model), other than that great car for a beater
With 3 row seat, very good for 6 person family.
3.8 engine not reliable.
3.8 Engine NOT as reliable as the 3.0. Known head gasket problems, also automatic transmission known to be weak, although we have had no problems. Head gasket blown at approximately 49,000 miles. Car was still under warranty; dealer claimed engine was blown and claimed to have put in a new long block. I am sure they only put a new head gasket in and 'charged' Ford for the long block. On replacing gasket, two wires were pinched between block and head which then could not be read with computer scanner. By this time car was out of warranty and dealer refused to continue finding problem. After hiring a retired Ford mechanic, seven computer modules, he relented to my request and removed head, finding problem with shorted wires. Except for head gasket, car was good. Would never deal with this Ford dealership again, and probably never buy another Ford, as Ford would do nothing to support claim.
good
low miles , perfect condtion except for bumper
one owner, old lady's car, super clean, non smoker, only damage on car is a dent on drivers side rear bumper corner. always garaged, no rust, oil changed every 5,000 miles, runs like new.
Very very low miles
Can't think of one
Great car garage kept driven 4000 miles a year by retired vet. Have to sell because he passed on and left 2 cars.
