Positive Review
I will start by saying that my wife refers to me as a "research geek". I really research and dig into things, especially for large purchases like a vehicle. In this case I compared the Expedition, QX56, Yukon, and Tahoe. All have similar options. I am a fan of the rear bench seat because I don't like losing a seating position with the bucket seats. The Expy by far has the most leg room in the third row. It drives really easy and smooth. The Ecoboost engine really surprised me. The one odd thing is how quiet it is. It doesn't seem right at first if you are used to a large V8 vehicle. Don't be fooled, it moves along really well. Plus the torque is realized at a much lower RPM than the Yukon's and Tahoe's which is where you can actually use it when towing. Hitting peak torque numbers up around 4000 rpm is basically worthless for towing. The Expy hits peak torque around 2100 rpm. That is pretty good for a gas engine. I recently towed a 23 foot wakeboard boat and it was great. Smooth and had plenty of power. The one drawback is the interior finishing material. It's done well, its just more plastic material than the fancier woodgrain stuff you will get in an XLT or Denali Yukon. But that being said, it's still nice and the overall the controls are laid out well. The other drawback is that there are no tie downs in the cargo, which is odd. No d-rings to attached a strap or bungee cord to. Also, with the windows up, air off, and radio off you pickup a slight whine from the turbo's, but nothing annoying or overbearing. For reference, I purchased a 2015 Expedition Limited with the upgrades for power moon roof, power steps, and 22" rims. It's basically a Platinum without the platinum badge and seat stitching.
Critical Review
Warranty covers bumper to bumper to 36,000/3 years and 6/60 for drive train only. At 4.5 years an 48,000 had to replace compressor, condenser and flush the a/c system. At stops it idles low and stalls. None of this is covered by warranty. Best bet is to pass it off before this point. I also have a 2004 Explorer with 136,000 miles on it. No major issues. Which makes me very disappointed with this vehicle.

We love our Expedition! It’s a great tow vehicle, has the heavy duty tow package installed, so we haul our 36 foot trailer without issues (needs anti-sway bars of course). It’s reliable and has all the bells and whistles like cooling our rear ends. Here’s the problem: the AC system really sucks. We have spent thousands of dollars to repair and replace stuff and to this day it is not working. We live in Florida so that is literally not cool!!! What the heck Ford??? Also this vehicle was priced at $61k when it was new, now it’s worth about $6000, 10 years later. That speaks volumes. Hopefully newer models will improve this glaring oversight.
Less problem. Engine and transmission when maintained with scheduled fluid change last a lifetime. XLT EL 4x4 . Spacious and reliable transport and haul,
Comfortable
BCM does not interchange with any other years.
No STARS ! ! I had to put one star so it would allow me to submit this review.. So I've come to find out that the 2017 Ford expedition BCM does not interchange with any other years for the Ford expedition my Ford has been sitting at premier Ford for almost 2 months they cannot find another BCM that will sync with my vehicle and have found no other issues besides the recalls that were listed now I have a $13,000 vehicle I've had for 8 months I've only been able to drive 3 months and I put 2,000 miles on it and now they're telling me it is dead in the water they have nothing else that they can look for or fix to have it start again. I still have an almost $374 note that I have 2 years left to pay on. I will be calling Ford headquarters in Michigan.
Great proformance, styling and comfort

Great fuel economy with 3.5L Ecobust Engine. Best vehicle ever for travelers. Exceptional comfort interior with a great Sony sound system.
Very dependable motor
Minor electrical issues
We purchased our 2012 Expedition XL brand new and have since put 260,000 miles on it without ANY major engine repairs other than a transmission repair (not replacement.) I will say that it has had a few electrical issues and we have had to replace the motors on two of the windows, the radio display no longer lights up, (but it works!) and we also replaced the motors on the retractable running boards (I hate those things) other than that it has been an incredibly dependable car. I have used it to commute 100 miles per day, and it kept me safe through ice, snow, rain and wind. I am not sure how many more miles I can expect it to run, but in the meantime I'll keep getting it serviced regularly.
No problem with anything. It has always been very dependable. Personal use only Good condition and runs well
Great ride, great reliability so far
Not terribly powerful or fuel efficient
Mileage will not be what you want, but the thing is a bus. Power is decent, the ride is excellent. Aside from the inevitable 5.4 3v timing job, it’s been totally trouble free. There are a couple spots on the aluminum trunk lid and hood that will eventually need addressing, but they’re fine for now and don’t spread quickly like rust.
Se maneja muy bien y tranquilo
Tiene la luz de la bolsa de aire prendida
La camioneta esta en muy buenas condiciones trabaja muy bien motor y transmisión en muy buenas condiciones la vendo porque quiero comprar un carro más pequeño
