Critical Review
"I bought my Lanos from my parents in 2003 for $3000. They bought it new in March of 2000, so I know the complete history of the car. There are many things I don't like about the car: no working cup holders, the cable inside of my door that moves the window up and down snapped in half leaving my window stuck in my door, the gas mileage isn't what you would expect from a compact car that gets blown off the highway by motorcycles, 0 - 60 in 18.9 seconds, and the cables that control my cold/hot and foot/window in my dash broke so I only have hot air in my face, if you drive in the rain and for an extended period of time and park your car the drum brakes for the rear wheels may lock up, every replacement park cost 1/5 the value of the car. It looks like a shoe. For the price..I guess it's not that bad"

Great Price & Cheap to Drive
No Cup Holders, Not a Luxury Car
I have owned my Daewoo for three years and consider it a great car for the price. It gets good gas mileage and is in good condition. I've done regular maintenance on my vehicle so, it may be in better shape than others. If you can't drive an expensive, or new car, this car fits the bill.
good price
needs minor work
good vehicle for daily use.
runs great
Small car
It runs great, everything functions, I cannot take it with me to RD, thats why Im selling it.
Drives Good and Good On Gas
Parts Hard To Find
Bought new Daewoo Lanos in December 2002 with 116 miles. The car drove well and was good on gas. Timing Belt had to be changed every 60,000 miles per dealer. I had timing belt changed at 60,000 miles. I did not change it at 120,000 miles and timing belt broke costing $1,000 to repair Cylinder Head - This happened August 2007. This car still drove very well but, as time went by, I needed replacement parts ( radiator, water pump, coolant jug, etc)for the car and I could not find parts at local Auto Parts stores. I had to order parts online from Genesis Auto Parts and Parts Train. Soon parts were not available at Parts Train. Car was in accident in 2012 and declared total with estimate of 213,000 miles.
It's cute. Fabulous gas mileage. It's a jelly bean.
It doesn't bounce off guard rails.
I loves my beautiful little woo. Shes a champ.
Economy, dependable, fun to drive, great value
Basic transportation. It is what it is.
We bought this car new in 01 and never had a problem out of it. When my daughter went out of town for work, it just sat in our drive for a couple years, so we sold it to a man who fixes them up and sells them. As far as I know this little Daewoo is still rolling around town today. If I was looking for a little, economical vehical to get around town and make short trips with (to the beach, etc.) I would definately buy another one! You can't beat the value!
Cheap, fun, parking, comfortable, low mpg, trunk.
Cup holders block radio, parts are hard to find.
Absolutely love this car, its great on turns and really fun. Its really cheap but parts are hard to find if you have problems with the car. I love the way it looks and how small it is, I can always fit into spots where most people cant. Driving it is a lot of fun and whenever I have friends in the car they cant stop telling me how comfortable it is even in the back! It has a huge trunk that can fit about anything you want. P.S. REALLY GREAT ON GAS!
