Hyundai Certified Used Vehicles
The Hyundai Advantage warranty put the company on the map in 1998 when they announced a 5-year/60,000-mile limited warranty and a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty for new cars. Buyers looked at the South Korean maker’s cars differently, and Hyundai has built on that interest, maintaining a leadership position in the warranty field.
Hyundai Certified Used Vehicles take over the new car warranties with whatever is left from the new car coverage when sold as a used car, as long as the used cars are less than seven years old and have less than 80,000 miles. Eligible vehicles must undergo a 173-point mechanical, safety, and appearance inspection and come with a complimentary Carfax vehicle history report. The cars include the balance of a 10-year roadside assistance program with no mileage limit.
Should a certified Hyundai require repairs under warranty, owners are entitled to up to 10 days of rental car reimbursement (up to $35 per day) and travel interruption reimbursement if the breakdown happens more than 150 miles from home (up to $100 per day, up to $500 per incident). SiriusXM provides a complimentary 3-month trial to Hyundai-certified used car buyers. 2024 model year (and 2023 Ioniq 6) buyers get three months of complimentary access to Bluelink Connected Core Packages.
