Known for its modern good looks, efficient powertrain, and easy-to-access features, the Kia Forte offers buyers a nicely equipped option at an inticing price point. Following a refresh in 2022, the Forte carries into 2024 with only minor updates. It’s a smart choice for shoppers seeking a modern, compact sedan without a major price increase. This marked the final year for the Forte, with the Kia K4 taking its place as the brand’s compact car.
Still, the 2024 Forte continues to offer technology similar to that of many newer vehicles on the market today. The Forte includes standard wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and offers an available 10.25-inch touchscreen (the standard screen measures 8 inches).
For 2024, Kia also expanded the availability of advanced driver-assistance features, particularly on the GT-Line trim, which gained features. Standard safety features include driver attention warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-following assist, lane-keep assist, and rear occupant detection. Additional available or newly expanded features in 2024 include navigation-based smart cruise control, Highway Driving Assist, and enhanced forward-collision avoidance systems with cyclist detection.
A few of the premium options available on the Forte include a Harman Kardon audio system, a wireless charging pad, a power sunroof, adaptive cruise control, and heated/ventilated front seats.
The 2024 Kia Forte is available in four trims and with two engine options. Aimed at efficiency rather than power, the LX, LXS, and GT-Line use a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder that generates 147 hp and returns up to 34 mpg combined. The sporty Forte GT (offered as the GT or GT Manual depending on transmission) touts a turbocharged 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine that delivers 201 hp and returns up to about 30 mpg combined, comparable to the Honda Civic Si. All models are front-wheel drive (FWD).
