The electric vehicle (EV) market consistently adds new models with faster charging speeds and more range. Two of the powerhouses in the segment have evolved to keep pace with growing competition. The 2025 Kia EV6 and 2025 Tesla Model 3 both deliver well-priced, nicely optioned trims with entertaining driving dynamics and great driving range. One of these two wins the range competition, while the other has what many would consider a nicer interior. Both can charge at Tesla Supercharger stalls, which shrinks the competitive advantages between the two. Let’s dive more deeply into how these two stack up.
2025 Kia EV6
The Kia EV6 remains one of the best EV options in its segment. Its standout styling pairs with enjoyable driving dynamics and solid range. Kia offers a range of EV6 varieties, as well, which means there’s one for those solely focused on range, a version for those worried most about price, and even a version for folks who prefer vehicular hooliganism via track time or smoke-laden burnouts and drifts.
On top of all of that, Kia delivers the EV6 with an impressive 10-year/100,000-mile warranty. The automaker now fits nearly all versions of the EV6 with a North American Charging System (NACS) charge port, which opens up the ability to charge at Tesla Superchargers. Finally, Kia has given the EV6 a light refresh for 2025. This means slight design revisions front and rear, fresh looks for the wheels, and an available larger battery pack.
Kia EV6 Highlights
NACS charging port: The ability to charge at more charging stations is a huge move to help eliminate any potential range anxiety. It’s on all trim levels except the high-horsepower EV6 GT.
800-volt Architecture: Thanks to its modern underpinnings, the EV6 can go from a 10% to 80% state of charge in as little as 18 minutes when using a DC fast charger.
Interior Tech & Comfort: Kia fits the EV6 with a pair of 12.3-inch screens, makes excellent use of its ample floor space, and employs recycled materials that deliver an impressive level of quality for the interior fit and finish.
Crank the Tunes: The Wind, GT-Line, and GT models come standard with a 14-speaker Meridian audio system.

2025 Tesla Model 3
The Tesla Model 3 remains a top seller in the EV space, and for pretty crystal clear reasons. It delivers excellent driving range at a relatively affordable price, and thanks to the robust Supercharger network, the charging options are ample. The cars are quick, and fans of Tesla also appreciate the uncomplicated nature of both the interior and exterior styling.
Tesla Model 3 Highlights
Driving Range: Even the lowest-range version still nets nearly 300 miles. The top dog with respect to range? It will deliver 363 miles.
Storage Space: The rear trunk has 21 cubic feet of space. Need more room? The frunk has an additional 3.1 cubic feet.
Big Screen: If you’re a fan of large screens in cars, you’ll love the 15.4″ display mounted centrally in the Model 3.
Performance: The Model 3 Performance model delivers 510 hp, a zero-to-60 mph dash in just 2.9 seconds, and features adaptive suspension as standard kit.

Conclusion
Kia keeps improving the EV6, which was pretty great already. Tesla manages to continually deliver class-leading driving range. Still, the EV6 offers a better fit and finish, a nicer cabin space, and can now utilize the Tesla Supercharger network. This means that the advantages of the Model 3 have shrunk dramatically. It’s still the range king, but the EV6 arrives as the better overall car in all other metrics.
