The 2019 Chevy Sonic offers a low price, good fuel economy and a surprisingly space-efficient interior perfect for first-time buyers or growing families in need of a second car. Cute, sporty and filled with features, the Sonic proves you don’t have to spend a lot to get a lot.
You May Not Like This Car If...
It’s called a “subcompact” for a reason. If you have tall kids, a dog, or the need for copious cargo space, you’d be better off moving up a class to a car like the Chevrolet Cruze. Regrettably, emergency-braking systems standard on some rivals are missing from the Sonic.
