What Owners are Saying About the 1997 Chevrolet Blazer
"Overall a great vehicle"
"I have owned my Blazer for 13 years. Had 77k when I got it, has 234k now. The front ends are known to be a bit problematic in these and mine has been no different. That said, in 13 years it has broken down just twice (fuel pump, both times). It is a definite workhorse. I've towed some heavy loads on numerous occasions without any issue. The 4 wheel drive is great in the snow and it goes offroad surprisingly well in its stock configuration. Overall I am pleased with the vehicles performance, reliability and comfort. Gas mileage isn't great though."
"Will Get Another!"
"I was apprehensive about getting a larger vehicle but, I am TOTALLY impressed with my 2003 Chevy Blazer! It has NEVER failed me, is very comfortable, and an easy vehicle to drive/park. I will replace it with another Chevy SUV if it ever needs to be, but I hope this one goes on and on and on."
"Strong and overall reliable vehicle"
"Reliable and versatile my blazer has served me well. It now has 226000+ miles and it is still just as strong as when I bought it. The front end has been a little problematic, which is common on blazers. There are a number of other repairs it has needed in the 12 years Ive owned it, but in that time it has actually broken down just twice (fuel pump went out, then fuel pump again 5 or 6 year later). I have towed with it numerous times, even exceeding its tow capacity once or twice with no problem. The 4x4 is excellent in winter driving conditions and the 4.3L vortec engine is a workhorse. I wish they still made the blazer, Id buy another for sure."
