I love it! In any situation it just wants to give more. 2' of snow, no problem. Towing a 16' enclosed trailer loaded cross country, no problem. I wonder how many 10 year old cars attract as much attention as these do. I am constantly being complimented on how good the truck looks. Gonna hold on to this one for sure.
Critical Review
2007 Z-71 Chevy Avalanche... Beautiful truck... I loved it... I am currently without it due to transmission failure for the second time since I bought it NEW. I only have 14k miles on it. Drives great, but not exactly off-road ready even with Z-71 package. Acceleration good. Engine reliable (so far). Transmission... I've read a LOT of reviews now about how terrible the transmission is and I'm experiencing first hand... even the rental car people told me that they've been renting under warranty to a LOT of chevy owners. Usefulness of the truck is great... Midgate is awesome. Add in mud guards as soon as you buy or else even small rocks will chip the paint.. great investment. LASTLY, DO NOT THINK YOU ARE GOING TO GET A LOT OF SERVICE FROM GM... DEALERSHIPS ARE HELPFUL MOST OF THE TIME, BUT GM COULDN'T GIVE A RIP. Also, if you are gonna by... don't get the Xilon coating and buy the extended warranty... YOU'LL NEED IT!!!

All the luxuries of a car & capabilities of a truck!
15 miles per gallon
My Avalanche is my favorite & best vehicle i've ever owned! It currently has over 367,000 miles on it & I drive it everyday. Whenever people ask me about my Avalanche, i always tell them "It has all the luxuries of a car & the capabilities of a truck. It truly is the BEST of both worlds!" Sure stuff wears out & you have to replace it but if you take care of it, this truck will last near forever. Mine even tells me when my oil is low / to add some. These Avalanches really do have all the bells & whistles! The only thing I can think of that could be called bad about it, is the 15 miles per gallon. Even with that bein said, I wouldn't give my Avalance up for nothing! There's a reason us owners hold onto & refuse to ever get rid of nor trade in our Avalanches. I will always 💯% highly recommend them to family, friends & strangers who ask about them!

I refused to pay till he fixed the engine knock they took the truck and hit it someplace. I reported it to Police.
Best all around truck
Gas mileage
I have a 2007 chevy Avalanche LTZ. For my family and I it is the best of both worlds. You have the luxury of a car, but the room of a truck, you can haul things and still have your kids right there in the back seat with you. My only downfall with the chevy avalanche is the amount of gas it uses. The gas mileage is a trade off.I'm willing to accept though for all the conveniences.I do have with the chevy avalanche.
I have 780.000 miles on my avalanche. It's a very reliable truck. I tow trailers weekly. The only down fall is the cheap plastic dashboards. They will crack and fall apart guaranteed. The factory trans has defects. Mine was rebuilt 3 times. Finally found a transmission factory which upgrades the trans and elimates the problems. Front end alignment needs attention yearly do to poor quality streets in Houston.
Great riding and Great comfort
Fuel mileage could be a little better
By far the most comfortable and best riding truck ever produced. Great sound system and excellent options available.
Easy to work on. Storage compartments on rear fenders. Tonneau covers and removable rear window.
Gas mileage is the greatest. A lot of cheap plastic parts in interior.
I love the many extras this truck has.
Everything about the truck is a pro

We have 198,000 miles on our avalanche and towed it behind an RV for 7 years. It’s been a great truck. It has never left us stranded on the side of the road. Of course we’ve had to replace the batteries and some other small parts but nothing huge. I was very sad when they stopped making them. It’s actually the 2nd one we’ve owned. I sold my 2002 avalanche to a friend who still has it as her main ride.
Comfortable and fun

I get offers for 36- 50,000 for this truck but kelly says its only worth 18. Bs its top of the avalanche line more reliable and sought after then most others in its class
