The last generation of the Toyota RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid (which, for years, was called the RAV4 Prime) was like a secret weapon in Toyota’s lineup, and it was the kind of sleeper driving enthusiasts love. That’s because it had 302 hp and could do zero to 60 mph in a swift 5.7 seconds. This all-new one is even better.
The 2026 version of the RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid now has 320 hp and is estimated to travel up to 50 miles on battery power alone – eight more than the prior version. As before, you also get all-wheel drive as standard, which helps with performance and traction in foul weather.
That grip will also surely be utilized in the two new trims of the RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid: Woodland and GR Sport. We’ve seen a Woodland before, and it’s the more outdoorsy sibling with all-terrain tires and a taller ride height. The GR Sport looks to be the wild child and is a first for the RAV4 lineup. It represents the most performance-oriented version of the RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid.
<h3>Fuel economy</h3>
Toyota has yet to release numbers on the efficiency of the new hybrid powertrain in the RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid, but has estimated it can travel up to 50 miles on battery power alone. That would be eight miles beyond the class-leading numbers of the 2025 Toyota RAV4 Plug-in, making this new one all the more a viable alternative to an all-electric vehicle. Of course, the beauty of a plug-in hybrid is that once the juice runs out in the battery, there’s a gasoline engine to power your travels as far and as wide as you’d like to travel.

Fresh Yet Familiar Exterior

The 2026 RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid keeps a similar silhouette as the outgoing model but has enough new traits to make it look fresh. We think Toyota did a great balancing act here.
The well-known angular profile and smaller details like the horizontal black line across the D-pillar remain. Even the dimensions are the same: 180.9 inches in length for most models, though the Woodland and GR Sport variants stretch to 181.8.
Also returning is the option for two-tone paint options, including the new Meteor Shower with a black roof on the XSE trim or the GR Sport’s exclusive pairing of Supersonic Red with a black roof.
A sweeping fascia spans the front, and a wide-looking rear bears “RAV4” emblazoned across the middle of the tailgate.
RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid Woodland models portray a more adventurous image with a bit more ground clearance, all-terrain tires, Rigid Industries LED lighting, and roof rails with crossbars.

The 2026 RAV4’s 5-passenger interior, while all new, continues the Toyota tradition of being sensible and spacious. The RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid gets upgrades in the tech department that we are happy to see. All models receive a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, while the touchscreen at its smallest is 10.5 inches or, optionally, 12.9 inches.
Toyota has made climate controls digital and located them on the touchscreen, with hard controls for changing temperature and defrost settings below the screen itself. There is, however, a physical volume knob in the middle. A head-up display is available on XSE models.
Seating materials range from fabric to Toyota’s sturdy SofTex leather-like material. Color options include black or light gray, or the new Mineral shade in the Woodland trim. XSE and GR Sport models get microsuede and SofTex. GR Sport models are further distinguished with GR logos in the front headrests and steering wheel, paddle shifters, and aluminum sport pedals.
Toyota has yet to reveal the full interior specs of the new 2026 RAV4, but seeing as its exterior dimensions are the same as those of the outgoing model, which had generous cargo and passenger room for its class, we predict those positive traits will carry over.

In this case, by more, we mean more power – up to 320 horsepower – and more efficiency thanks to the ability to drive up to 50 miles on battery power alone. Like the standard 2026 RAV4 that we review separately, the RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid is all new for the 2026 model year. In addition to boasting more power and range than the prior generation, this one has fresh looks, the latest technology, and for the first time, will be available as a performance model called the GR Sport edition or an outdoorsy variant called the Woodland.
The choice of plug-in hybrid <a href="https://www.kbb.com/suv/best-compact-suvs/">compact SUVs</a> is still a bit limited, but the 2026 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid looks to bring its A game to plug-in hybrid variants of the Kia Sportage, Hyundai Tucson, and Mitsubishi Outlander.

The 2026 Toyota RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid comes standard with a gas-electric powertrain that marries a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine and battery-fed electric motor. While even the standard RAV4 is now a hybrid, the plug-in version has a larger battery pack that allows for up to 50 miles of electric-only driving.
The “plug-in” part means you recharge the battery from a power receptacle that can range from a standard household power outlet to a 240-volt Level 2 charger. RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid XSE and Woodland models get a high-speed CCS charging port, while SE and GR Sport models use a J1772. We’re still awaiting word on charge time estimates.
The RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid has standard all-wheel drive and up to 320 combined horsepower — a seriously impressive number. It can tow up to 3,500 pounds.
3-Year/36,000-Mile Warranty
Toyota’s new-vehicle warranty lasts three years or 36,000 miles, whichever happens first. Powertrains are covered for five years or 60,000 miles. This is typical for the class. Hybrid components have a warranty of eight years or 100,000 miles, and the hybrid battery is protected for 10 years or 150,000 miles. Toyota also includes two years or 25,000 miles of free scheduled maintenance, plus two years of roadside assistance with unlimited mileage.
The 2026 RAV4 also includes ToyotaCare, which covers factory-scheduled maintenance for two years/25,000 miles, whichever comes first, along with two years of roadside assistance.

The 2026 Toyota RAV4 is all-new, packing a standard hybrid powertrain, a wide choice of models, and the latest tech and safety features.

The 2026 Toyota RAV4 now comes exclusively with a gas-electric powertrain. In addition to bringing superior fuel economy over a standard gasoline engine, this setup actually has more power than both the outgoing gas RAV4 and prior RAV4 Hybrid models. It’s also available with front-wheel drive (FWD) for the first time as a hybrid, in addition to all-wheel drive (AWD).
Front-drive models have a combined 226 horsepower, while all-wheel-drive versions make 236 hp. These numbers beat the old peaks of 203 and 219 hp, respectively, of the prior RAV4 and RAV4 Hybrid, not to mention current competitors.
We’ve tested this powertrain extensively in the Camry sedan and were simply wowed by how good it is. There was always plenty of power — more than plenty, actually — and excellent fuel efficiency. We hope for and anticipate a similar experience in the new RAV4.
Fuel economy
Toyota has yet to release numbers on the efficiency of the new hybrid powertrain in the RAV4, but we expect them to be good. The prior RAV4 Hybrid achieved up to 39 mpg in combined city/highway driving.

Familiar Exterior

The 2026 RAV4 looks like a masterclass in revamping a vehicle’s design, yet also keeping it familiar. To wit, the new RAV4 maintains its angular profile in general and smaller details like the horizontal black line across the D-pillar. It even keeps the exact length as the outgoing model — 180.9 inches. Yet, the 2026 model is fresher, too, with a sweeping front fascia and wide-looking rear with RAV4 emblazoned in capital letters across the middle of the tailgate.
Toyota classifies the 2026 RAV4 into three unique designs: Core, Rugged, and Sport, with each aesthetic bringing distinct traits. For example, the Woodland trim, which represents the Rugged design theme, is a half-inch higher, thanks to standard all-terrain tires. Also, it comes with raised roof rails and features integrated LED lighting from Rigid Industries. Core models include the LE, XLE, and Limited trims, and Sport is home to the SE and XSE trims. Wheel sizes for the new RAV4 range from 17 to 20 inches. As before, two-tone color schemes with a black roof are available.

The 2025 Maserati Grecale is a sporty, almost-exotic compact luxury SUV with a great blend of luxury and technology, plus a touch of something out of the ordinary.

Power, Ride and Handling

From the base model up, the Grecale offers plenty of power and performance. The base Grecale and the Grecale Modena share a 2.0-liter turbocharged mild-hybrid drivetrain developing a punchy 325 horsepower. The new base engine replaces last year’s 296-hp non-hybrid unit. Maserati says this setup can take either trim from standstill to 60 mph in five seconds, on the way to a top speed of 149 mph.
Higher up, the Trofeo employs a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 generating 523 hp and 457 lb-ft of torque, hitting 60 mph in 3.6 seconds (with launch control) and a top speed of 177 mph. That’s more power and quicker acceleration than even the most muscular combustion-powered Porsche Macan.
The all-electric Grecale Folgore adds even more power, but backs off a bit on the performance — four seconds in the sprint from zero to 60 mph and a top speed of 137 mph. That’s comparable to the Porsche Macan 4S Electric, which hits 60 mph in 3.9 seconds and generates 509 hp.
Other performance enhancements available in the Grecale range include a limited-slip rear differential (Modena models), and an electronic locking rear differential (Trofeo models).
Fuel Economy
The 2025 Grecale gets reasonably good gas mileage for its class and performance. The base and Modena models score the same 24 mpg in combined city/highway driving. The Trofeo’s big power output makes it less efficient at 20 mpg combined, but still capable of 25 mpg on the highway. For the best efficiency in the Grecale range, look no further than the all-electric Folgore. Even there, however, you’ll have a choice of 21-inch wheels, which reduce total range to 206 miles and efficiency to 62 MPGe, or 20-inch wheels, which are good for 245 miles of range and 75 MPGe.
For comparison, the BMW X3 achieves 29 mpg combined, the Lexus RX gets 24 mpg combined, and the Range Rover Velar manages 23 mpg combined.

Modern Exterior

Sleek, sporty, and of-the-moment, the Grecale’s look also aims at timelessness. While that remains to be seen, it’s undeniably attractive now, provided you’re a fan of Maserati’s aesthetics. The grille sports the iconic trident emblem, and the classic triple fender vents are another nod to Maseratis of yore, but the primary look is one of modern luxury, solidity, and an edge of sportiness.
The addition of a range of new colors for 2025 means the Grecale’s look is more customizable than ever, even before the in-house boutique options of the Fuoriserie line.

Infotainment with voice control
The Grecale features a built-in digital assistant that responds to voice commands like “Hey, Maserati. Set the cabin temperature to 72 degrees,” eliminating the need to search for buttons. Standard tech includes wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, and Google Assistant.
Driver Assistance package
This package adds adaptive cruise control with a stop-and-go function, lane-keeping, blind-spot monitoring, and drowsy driver detection for a modest fee. It’s a worthwhile upgrade for greater day-to-day safety.
Sonus Faber sound system
Sonus Faber is not a household name, but it’s a prestigious Italian audio company. For context, while a Bose Bluetooth speaker might cost around $150, a comparable Sonus Faber product can run up to $2,000. The top-tier audio system available here delivers 1,000 watts through 21 speakers, while even the base Grecale model includes a robust 14-speaker setup as standard.
Twin Spark V6
The Grecale Trofeo’s 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 uses twin spark technology — two spark plugs per cylinder for enhanced performance, a concept dating back to Alfa Romeo race cars in 1914. This powerhouse engine also appears in the Maserati MC20 supercar, where it produces 621 hp.
Adaptive air suspension
This air suspension system — standard in the Trofeo and Folgore, and optional on the Modena — offers six height settings. These include Off-Road mode for maximum ground clearance, Parking mode for easier entry and exit, and higher-performance modes.
Dual-pane panoramic sunroof
Standard on the Modena and higher trims and available on the base Grecale, the dual-pane panoramic sunroof provides a more open, airy cabin experience for both seating rows.

High-Class Interior

The Grecale’s cabin is a luxurious, leather-clad space with roomy seats and large screens. A 12.3-inch driver display, a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, and an 8.8-inch HVA control screen are all standard. All models also get standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto phone integration.
The Modena adds open-pore wood trim, ambient interior lighting, and more. The Trofeo brings more extensive leather upholstery, 3D matte carbon fiber trim, 14-way power-adjustable front seats, and other performance-themed upgrades. The Folgore’s cabin resembles the Trofeo’s, adding a unique copper thread touch to the 3D matte carbon fiber trim, and replacing the leather with simulated leather upholstery.
In the second row, the Grecale has power-folding seats that can be controlled from the cargo area for easier loading of large items. There’s also good seating space, with enough room for most even behind taller front-row occupants.

Mainstream cars have become so well equipped and well-built that they rival the luxury cars of not so long ago. Today’s luxury cars are almost universally capable, comfortable, and tech-packed. So, how do you stand out from the crowd? One answer is to consider unusual or lesser-known marques like Maserati.
The Grecale competes against other compact luxury SUVs, but unlike an Audi, BMW, Lexus, or Mercedes-Benz, you probably won’t find yourself parking between two nearly identical models when you’re behind the wheel of the Maserati — no matter if you’re parking at the grocery store or the country club. It’s that taste of exclusivity, of a bit more Old World charm than most of the luxury SUV crop, that gives the Grecale a lot of its pull.
Of course, it’s also a stylish, well equipped, comfortable, and capable luxury SUV, albeit at a bit of a premium.
We’ve spent hundreds of hours driving and evaluating this generation of <a href="https://www.kbb.com/suv/best-luxury-compact-suvs/">compact luxury SUVs</a>, including the Maserati Grecale.

The 2025 Maserati Grecale is priced at the top of its class, with the base version starting in the upper $70,000s, and the top Trofeo and Folgore versions both around $110,000 to start. Rivals like the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/porsche/macan/2025/">BMW X3</a>, <a href="https://www.kbb.com/alfa-romeo/stelvio/">Alfa Romeo Stelvio</a>, <a href="https://www.kbb.com/lexus/rx/">Lexus RX</a>, and <a href="https://www.kbb.com/mercedes-benz/glc/">Mercedes-Benz GLC</a> all start around $50,000. From the mid-$60K range, even the starting prices of the sporty <a href="https://www.kbb.com/porsche/macan/2025/">Porsche Macan</a> and the luxurious <a href="https://www.kbb.com/land-rover/range-rover-velar/2025/">Land Rover Range Rover Velar</a> are still about 10% below the Grecale’s.

The base Grecale “Grecale” model uses a 325-hp mild-hybrid 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine, which is also shared with the Grecale Modena. The Grecale Trofeo upgrades to a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine rated for a fierce 523 hp. All combustion-powered Grecales use an 8-speed automatic transmission and come with standard all-wheel drive (AWD).
The all-electric Grecale Folgore deploys a 105-kWh battery pack driving dual electric motors with a combined output of 542 hp. Depending on the features selected, the Folgore can achieve up to 245 miles of range.
4-Year/50,000-Mile Warranty
Maserati’s new-vehicle and powertrain warranties both last four years or 50,000 miles, whichever happens first. This is typical among luxury car makers but less than some rivals like Genesis.
Safety Ratings
The Grecale hasn’t been crash-tested by any agencies in the United States. As an indication of how well it might do if it were tested here, the Alfa Romeo Stelvio (with which the Grecale shares a platform) was previously awarded the maximum five stars overall from a European crash-test program, Euro NCAP, but that certification has now expired. Standard safety equipment in the Grecale includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection.

For 2025, the Maserati Grecale continues largely unchanged, except for the replacement of the GT model with the new base Grecale trim level, available on both the combustion-powered version and the all-electric Folgore variant. Key features of the Grecale include a mild-hybrid drivetrain, 20-inch diamond-cut wheels, leather upholstery, and heated 12-way power-adjustable front seats.

The 2025 Cadillac CT5-V and 2025 CT5-V Blackwing are midsize luxury sedans transformed into desirable high-performance machines.

A twin-turbocharged V6 endows the CT5-V with 360 hp and the ability to accelerate from a standstill to 60 mph in a rapid 4.6 seconds. That’s the same sprint time as the 375-hp BMW 540i xDrive.
Chances are that buyers zooming in on the CT5-V Blackwing are approaching not from the more sedate CT5 variants but after looking at high-performance cars like the BMW M5 or Mercedes-AMG E 63 S and wanting to spend thousands of dollars less, while still having a well-tuned adaptive sport suspension and a supercharged V8 making massive power.
Actually, both CT5-V models have a sport-tuned adaptive suspension as standard, enabling drivers to select between comfortable and firmer settings. It’s just that the Blackwing also enjoys a mighty 668 hp and will zip from zero to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds. It’s a performance bargain.
<h3>Fuel Economy</h3>
Economy probably isn’t a priority for CT5-V or CT5-V Blackwing buyers, but here are the numbers anyway. CT5-V rear-wheel drive: 21 mpg in combined city/highway driving. With all-wheel drive, it’s almost the same, except for 26 mpg on the highway (instead of 27 mpg). For reference, the all-wheel-drive BMW 540i xDrive achieves 28 mpg combined.
The rear-drive-only Blackwing returns 15 mpg combined (13 city, 20 highway) with an automatic transmission. The manual transmission returns the same figures, according to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
We aren’t going to compare these figures with those of the BMW M5 or either E-Class AMG models, because they’re all plug-in hybrids.

Revised Exterior

A few minor alterations bring the 2025 CT5-V’s appearance more into line with the rest of Cadillac’s current portfolio. The grille is lower and wider than before, the front air intakes have been reshaped to be more vertical, and the LED headlights are now stacked. These V cars also gain quad exhaust outlets with trapezoidal tips.
New paint choices this year are Deep Space Metallic (black), Drift Metallic (light blue), and Typhoon Metallic (a kind of emerald green).

Infotainment system 
Accessed through the new 33-inch touchscreen unit, this system has Google Built-In, allowing access to apps like Google Maps, Google Play (video games), and Google Assistant. Users can even set up their own personalized interface.
Super Cruise 
This standard feature is a hands-free adaptive cruise control system that works on certain highways (approaching 750,000 miles of them in North America). The driver’s eyes must always be engaged &#8212; no scrolling through Instagram on the phone, for example. Super Cruise can also execute safe lane changes. We’ve used it. It works.
Brembo brakes 
For anyone who might not know, Brembo counts top marques like Aston Martin and Ferrari among its many high-class clients. The CT5-V has Brembo brakes up front, the Blackwing has them on each wheel.
Performance data and video recorder 
This optional feature can improve an owner’s track performance and preserve their best laps. It shows plenty of crucial details, offers speed tips, and even displays information for a driving coach in the front passenger seat.
AKG audio 
AKG is a big and well-respected name in the sound reproduction business. The CT5-V has a 15-speaker system, while the CT5-V Blackwing comes with a 16-speaker setup.
Manual transmission in the CT5-V Blackwing 
Imagine the meeting when one of the engineers suggested putting a 6-speed stick shift into this midsize luxury sedan. After the initial shock, everyone must have thought: “Well, the CT5-V Blackwing is ultra-sporty, and a manual transmission could appeal to all the true enthusiasts out there.” It is. And it does.

Sporty and Tech-y Interior

When talking about the regular CT5, it’s at this point that we would moan a bit about cheaper materials found here and there, and how they shouldn’t be in a luxury car. We’re going to give the CT5-V models a pass, however, because the performance-per-dollar ratio buys the cars a fair amount of leeway. In addition, the 2025 CT5-V gains a large 33-inch display containing an instrument cluster and an infotainment touchscreen, raising the tech levels.
Naturally, the front seats are of the sporty variety, with plenty of side support for those times when the driver feels like taking a quick corner. Generally speaking, the CT5 has a decent amount of space and respectable levels of standard equipment. Rear legroom of 37.9 inches is good for the class and absolutely fine for adults of average build. Trunk space of 11.9 cubic feet is not so great. This is one of the smallest in the class, and the narrow aperture makes dealing with large suitcases unnecessarily tricky.

It’s good to see homegrown contenders going up against stiff competition from Europe and emerging with credibility. The CT5-V Blackwing does exactly that, while costing much less. The less powerful yet still capable and enjoyable CT5-V also makes a strong argument for itself. It may seem odd to talk about how a couple of cars from <a href="https://www.kbb.com/cadillac/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Cadillac,</a> of all places, are considered bona fide enthusiast machines, but that’s how good these CT5-V models really are.

The 2025 Cadillac CT5-V has a starting sticker price of $58,490, with the range-topping CT5-V Blackwing kicking off at $97,090.

The CT5-V Blackwing packs a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 generating an awesome 668 hp and 659 lb-ft, and it’s rear-wheel-drive exclusively.
The CT5-V comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission, while the Blackwing has a 6-speed manual transmission as standard. A 10-speed automatic is available as an option.

The 2025 Cadillac CT4-V turns a reasonably priced compact luxury sedan into a credible thrill machine.

The CT4-V develops 325 horsepower and can sprint from standstill to 60 mph in an entertaining 4.8 seconds. Although the BMW M340i enjoys 386 hp and would be more than half a second up the road at 60 mph, CT4-V drivers can console themselves with the fact that they spent around $10,000 less. Yet the CT4-V still comes with equipment like a sport-tuned adaptive suspension, upgraded brakes, limited-slip differential, and a sport exhaust system.
Things get much more exciting with the CT4-V Blackwing. This 472-hp sports sedan is capable of dispatching 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds. The base BMW M3 only has one more horse under its hood and isn’t any quicker than the Blackwing, even though it’s much pricier. Like the M3, the Blackwing has a dedicated suspension and plenty of other components to exploit this superb amount of muscle. It can even come with a 6-speed manual transmission.
<h3>Fuel Economy</h3>
With rear-wheel drive (RWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD), the CT4-V achieves 23 mpg in combined city/highway driving. To compare, the BMW M340i manages 29 mpg combined, regardless of the number of driven wheels.
The CT4-V Blackwing manual is estimated to return 18 mpg combined, which is close enough to the BMW M3’s 19 mpg combined not to matter. The automatic version does match the M3 at 19 mpg combined.

Businesslike Exterior

There’s the slight air of a sleeper car in the CT4-V. It doesn’t call too much attention to itself, apart from its arguably handsome general looks. When we get to the CT4-V Blackwing, there’s the rear, um, wing. Well, the rear spoiler on the trunk lid.
Along with a new alloy wheel design this year, the CT4-V now offers a light blue Drift Metallic paint finish.

Wireless phone integration 
Cable-free Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard in the 2025 CT4-V models. Wireless charging is also included.
Cadillac Smart System 
This standard set of safety features includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, rear parking sensors, and a vibrating safety alert driver&#8217;s seat.
Driver Assist package 
This standard array includes adaptive cruise control, enhanced automatic emergency braking, and reverse automatic braking.
Manual transmission 
Yes indeed, a 6-speed stick shift is standard in the powerful 2025 CT4-V Blackwing, the only car of its class to do so. Driving purists can rejoice.
AKG audio 
This fine 15-speaker system is reserved for the Blackwing. The CT4-V has to make do with a Bose setup, which doesn’t thrill us quite so much.
Brembo brakes 
These standard items are fitted to the front wheels, and the Blackwing has them at the rear as well. Brembo supplies many top marques, like Ferrari and Aston Martin.

Sporty Interior

We’re aware that the non-V CT4 variants are a little disappointing in terms of cabin materials, but Cadillac makes more of an effort with these V cars. As well as sportier front seats (now 8-way power-adjustable in the CT4-V), things like carbon fiber accents and simulated suede make their way in. However, rear legroom measures a relatively small 33.4 inches, while trunk space of 10.7 cubic feet is also unimpressive.

The CT4-V, as its name implies, is based on the regular Cadillac CT4. Turning it into a sportier machine involves a generous amount of go-faster hardware, along with aerodynamic tweaks to the body, and a special calibration of the suspension. This may seem outside the traditional smooth-riding <a href="https://www.kbb.com/cadillac/">Cadillac</a> wheelhouse, but the engineers working on these cars really know their stuff. Both the CT4-V and the CT4-V Blackwing have forged fine reputations among enthusiasts, especially the Blackwing.

The 2026 Hyundai Palisade Hybrid gets a bold look in line with the non-hybrid model. Available Relaxation seating brings recliners to the second-row and front passenger seats of the Palisade Hybrid. Power reclining seats with leg supports used to be reserved for expensive luxury vehicles, but now they&#8217;re available in a Hyundai family SUV.
100-watt capable USB-C ports 
Pretty much every new car has <a href="https://www.kbb.com/car-advice/vehicles-with-usb-c-chargers/">USB-C ports</a>, but the ones in the Palisade Hybrid are capable of charging at speeds of up to 100 watts. That means faster charging for your devices, and it can even keep a laptop powered up through demanding tasks like gaming and video streaming.

Can&#8217;t find your keys? No problem. With the new Hyundai Palisade Hybrid, you can use your phone as a key. Your smartphone or smartwatch can lock, unlock, and start this SUV, and you can even share digital keys with family and friends.

Upscale Interior

We&#8217;re eager to climb into the cabin of the all-new 2026 Hyundai Palisade Hybrid. Interior space and seat comfort are strong suits of the outgoing model, and the new model should be even better in those important criteria. We never cared for the gearshift buttons in the Palisade, and the new model replaces those with a steering column shifter that turns like an old-fashioned key for shifting into drive and reverse. We also like the dual 12.3-inch displays when we&#8217;ve tested them in other <a href="https://www.kbb.com/hyundai/">Hyundai models</a>, so we welcome their addition to the Palisade.
Hyundai says the new Palisade has a &#8220;reimagined third row.&#8221; In addition to a little extra space in the way-back seats, it has bigger windows back there, letting in more natural light, which should help to make it feel a little less cramped while improving visibility for the driver. A few new interior options we look forward to testing include Relaxation seats (recliners with leg supports), 100-watt fast-charging USB-C ports, and a Bose 14-speaker surround audio system. Since Blue SEL Premium is the base trim in the Palisade Hybrid, a few upscale standard features include H-Tex leatherette seats, second-row captain&#8217;s chairs (a bench is optional), heated and ventilated first- and second-row seats, rear sun shades, and a surround-view camera.

We estimate that the 2026 Hyundai Palisade Hybrid will start at about $48,000 for the base Blue SEL Premium trim. This would be a big jump in starting price over the non-hybrid Palisade, but that version has the more affordable SE and SEL trims slotted below its non-Blue SEL Premium trim (&#8220;Blue&#8221; means &#8220;hybrid&#8221; in Hyundai-speak). For the Limited and Calligraphy trims, expect to pay around $3,000 extra for the hybrid powertrain over their V6-powered counterparts.

The 2026 Hyundai Palisade Hybrid&#8217;s power comes from a turbocharged 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine mated to a pair of electric motors and a 6-speed automatic transmission, which produces a net output of 329 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque. Front-wheel drive (FWD) is standard, and all-wheel drive (AWD) is optional. For reference, the V6 in the non-hybrid Palisade produces 287 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. The Palisade Hybrid has a max tow rating of 4,000 pounds.
