The CT4-V develops 325 horsepower and can sprint from standstill to 60 mph in an entertaining 4.8 seconds. Although the BMW M340i enjoys 386 hp and would be more than half a second up the road at 60 mph, CT4-V drivers can console themselves with the fact that they spent around $10,000 less. Yet the CT4-V still comes with equipment like a sport-tuned adaptive suspension, upgraded brakes, limited-slip differential, and a sport exhaust system.
Things get much more exciting with the CT4-V Blackwing. This 472-hp sports sedan is capable of dispatching 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds. The base BMW M3 only has one more horse under its hood and isn’t any quicker than the Blackwing, even though it’s much pricier. Like the M3, the Blackwing has a dedicated suspension and plenty of other components to exploit this superb amount of muscle. It can even come with a 6-speed manual transmission.
<h3>Fuel Economy</h3>
With rear-wheel drive (RWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD), the CT4-V achieves 23 mpg in combined city/highway driving. To compare, the BMW M340i manages 29 mpg combined, regardless of the number of driven wheels.
The CT4-V Blackwing manual is estimated to return 18 mpg combined, which is close enough to the BMW M3’s 19 mpg combined not to matter. The automatic version does match the M3 at 19 mpg combined.

Businesslike Exterior

There’s the slight air of a sleeper car in the CT4-V. It doesn’t call too much attention to itself, apart from its arguably handsome general looks. When we get to the CT4-V Blackwing, there’s the rear, um, wing. Well, the rear spoiler on the trunk lid.
Along with a new alloy wheel design this year, the CT4-V now offers a light blue Drift Metallic paint finish.

These standard items are fitted to the front wheels, and the Blackwing has them at the rear as well. Brembo supplies many top marques, like Ferrari and Aston Martin.

We’re aware that the non-V CT4 variants are a little disappointing in terms of cabin materials, but Cadillac makes more of an effort with these V cars. As well as sportier front seats (now 8-way power-adjustable in the CT4-V), things like carbon fiber accents and simulated suede make their way in. However, rear legroom measures a relatively small 33.4 inches, while trunk space of 10.7 cubic feet is also unimpressive.

The CT4-V, as its name implies, is based on the regular Cadillac CT4. Turning it into a sportier machine involves a generous amount of go-faster hardware, along with aerodynamic tweaks to the body, and a special calibration of the suspension. This may seem outside the traditional smooth-riding <a href="https://www.kbb.com/cadillac/">Cadillac</a> wheelhouse, but the engineers working on these cars really know their stuff. Both the CT4-V and the CT4-V Blackwing have forged fine reputations among enthusiasts, especially the Blackwing.

Rivals like the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/audi/s5/">Audi S5</a>, <a href="https://www.kbb.com/bmw/3-series/">BMW 3 Series</a> (the M340i specifically), and the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/mercedes-benz/mercedes-amg-c-class/">Mercedes-AMG C-Class</a> are all markedly more expensive. A turbocharged 2.7-liter 4-cylinder engine propels the CT4-V with 325 hp and 380 lb-ft of torque, one of the lower outputs in this compact luxury/sports sedan class. This goes to a standard rear-wheel-drive setup or an optional all-wheel drive system through a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The CT4-V Blackwing uses a twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter V6 to send a forceful 472 hp and 445 lb-ft of torque solely to the rear wheels. A 6-speed manual transmission is standard, or there’s that 10-speed auto available.

<h3>4-Year/50,000-Mile Warranty</h3>
Cadillac’s new-car warranty lasts four years or 50,000 miles, whichever happens first. That’s common among luxury car makers, although the powertrain warranty is a little better than usual: six years or 70,000 miles, including roadside assistance. The first scheduled service is also free.

The 2026 Hyundai Palisade Hybrid gets a bold look in line with the non-hybrid model. Stacked LED blocks make up the front and rear light signatures while pronounced wheel arches give the body a little muscle. A rugged-looking XRT Pro model is part of the Palisade&#8217;s redesign, but it&#8217;s not available with the hybrid powertrain.

This is the first time the wonderful Hyundai Palisade has ever offered a hybrid option. On paper, it makes more power and torque than the V6 in the non-hybrid Palisade, and it can tow up to 4,000 pounds. We can&#8217;t wait to test it.

That means faster charging for your devices, and it can even keep a laptop powered up through demanding tasks like gaming and video streaming.
Hyundai Digital Key 2.0 
Can&#8217;t find your keys? No problem. With the new Hyundai Palisade Hybrid, you can use your phone as a key. Your smartphone or smartwatch can lock, unlock, and start this SUV, and you can even share digital keys with family and friends.

Upscale Interior

We&#8217;re eager to climb into the cabin of the all-new 2026 Hyundai Palisade Hybrid. Interior space and seat comfort are strong suits of the outgoing model, and the new model should be even better in those important criteria. We never cared for the gearshift buttons in the Palisade, and the new model replaces those with a steering column shifter that turns like an old-fashioned key for shifting into drive and reverse. We also like the dual 12.3-inch displays when we&#8217;ve tested them in other <a href="https://www.kbb.com/hyundai/">Hyundai models</a>, so we welcome their addition to the Palisade.
Hyundai says the new Palisade has a &#8220;reimagined third row.&#8221; In addition to a little extra space in the way-back seats, it has bigger windows back there, letting in more natural light, which should help to make it feel a little less cramped while improving visibility for the driver. Interestingly, the Palisade Hybrid&#8217;s second row has less leg room than the non-hybrid by about an inch and a half, but the cargo space and third-row leg room are the same. Something to keep in mind if you want maximum interior space.
A few new interior options we look forward to testing include Relaxation seats (recliners with leg supports), 100-watt fast-charging USB-C ports, and a Bose 14-speaker surround audio system. Since Blue SEL Premium is the base trim in the Palisade Hybrid, a few upscale standard features include H-Tex leatherette seats, second-row captain&#8217;s chairs (a bench is optional), heated and ventilated first- and second-row seats, rear sun shades, and a surround-view camera.

You could&#8217;ve called the Hyundai Palisade the rookie of the year when it first arrived on the scene in 2020. It was as good as or better than well-established veterans in the competitive class of midsize 3-row SUVs, and it&#8217;s been one of our favorites in its class ever since. Now, the Palisade is getting even better for 2026 as it enters its second generation. The first-ever Hyundai Palisade Hybrid is part of the redesign, and a non-hybrid version (<a href="https://www.kbb.com/hyundai/palisade/2026/">reviewed separately</a>) will still be available. The new Palisade stays true to form with a spacious and upscale 3-row interior, class-leading warranty coverage, and luxurious upper trims but adds a modern new look, updated technology, and what Hyundai calls a &#8220;reimagined third row.&#8221;

We estimate that the 2026 Hyundai Palisade Hybrid will start at about $48,000 for the base Blue SEL Premium trim. This would be a big jump in starting price over the non-hybrid Palisade, but that version has the more affordable SE and SEL trims slotted below its non-Blue SEL Premium trim (&#8220;Blue&#8221; means &#8220;hybrid&#8221; in Hyundai-speak). For the Limited and Calligraphy trims, expect to pay around $3,000 extra for the hybrid powertrain over their V6-powered counterparts.

The 2026 Hyundai Palisade Hybrid&#8217;s power comes from a turbocharged 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine mated to a pair of electric motors and a 6-speed automatic transmission, which produces a net output of 329 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque. Front-wheel drive (FWD) is standard, and all-wheel drive (AWD) is optional. For reference, the V6 in the non-hybrid Palisade produces 287 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. The Palisade Hybrid has a max tow rating of 4,000 pounds.
<h3>5-Year/60,000-Mile Warranty</h3>
We&#8217;d be remiss if we didn&#8217;t mention that the 2026 Hyundai Palisade Hybrid will continue the Hyundai tradition of class-leading warranty coverage. It&#8217;s backed by a 5-year/60,000-mile basic warranty and 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty, matched only by the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/kia/telluride/">Kia Telluride</a> in this class.

What's new for 2026

The Hyundai Palisade Hybrid is <a href="https://www.kbb.com/car-news/2026-hyundai-palisade-gets-hybrid-option-handsome-look/">all-new for 2026</a> as part of the Palisade&#8217;s second-generation debut. The first-gen Palisade first came out in 2020, and this is the first time it&#8217;s offering a hybrid powertrain. The new Palisade has a fresh look that&#8217;s sure to turn heads with a unique light signature and body lines that are boxy yet distinct. The already-roomy interior gets a little bigger, and it&#8217;s fully redesigned. The 2026 Hyundai Palisade is powered by a 287-horsepower V6 engine matched with an 8-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive (FWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD). <a href="https://www.kbb.com/hyundai/">Hyundai</a> says it&#8217;s a &#8220;newly developed&#8221; V6, but, on paper, it appears to effectively be carried over from the previous generation. In our experience, the outgoing Hyundai Palisade does an excellent job of providing a minivan-like driving experience in the form of an SUV. That’s not an insult — this is a comfortable family cruiser on city streets and highway road trips alike. We expect similar driving characteristics from the 2026 model.
<h3>Fuel Economy</h3>
The 2025 Hyundai Palisade returns up to 19 city/26 highway/22 combined mpg with front-wheel drive and 19 city/24 highway/21 combined mpg with all-wheel drive. We expect similar ratings for the 2026 model, but a new hybrid option promises greater efficiency.

Spacious Interior

We can&#8217;t wait to climb into the cabin of the all-new 2026 Hyundai Palisade. Interior space and seat comfort are strong suits of the outgoing model, and the new model should be even better in those important criteria. We never cared for the gearshift buttons in the Palisade, and the new model replaces those with a steering column shifter that turns like an old-fashioned key for shifting into drive and reverse. We also like the dual 12.3-inch displays when we&#8217;ve tested them in other Hyundai models, so we welcome their addition to the Palisade.
Hyundai says the new Palisade has a &#8220;reimagined third row.&#8221; In addition to a little extra space in the way-back seats, it has bigger windows back there, letting in more natural light, which should help it feel a little less cramped while improving visibility for the driver.
A few new interior options we look forward to testing include: Relaxation seats (recliners with leg supports), 100-watt fast-charging USB-C ports, and a Bose 14-speaker surround audio system.

You could&#8217;ve called the Hyundai Palisade the rookie of the year when it first arrived on the scene in 2020. It was as good as or better than well-established veterans in the competitive class of midsize 3-row SUVs, and it&#8217;s been one of our favorites in its class ever since. Now, the Palisade is getting even better for 2026 as it enters its second generation. It stays true to form with a spacious and upscale 3-row interior, class-leading warranty coverage, and luxurious upper trims but adds a modern new look, an available Palisade Hybrid (<a href="https://www.kbb.com/hyundai/palisade-hybrid/">reviewed separately</a>), what Hyundai calls a &#8220;reimagined third row,&#8221; and an off-road-ready XRT Pro model that&#8217;s more than just an appearance package.

We estimate that the 2026 Hyundai Palisade will be priced similarly to the 2025 model. Pricing should begin around the $39,000 mark.

Power for the 2026 Hyundai Palisade comes from a 3.5-liter V6 mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain is rated at 287 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque, par for the course in this class. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is optional. Notably, there&#8217;s an all-new Palisade Hybrid this year, powered by a turbo hybrid engine with a net output of 329 hp and 339 lb-ft of torque.
<h3>5-Year/60,000-Mile Warranty</h3>
We&#8217;d be remiss if we didn&#8217;t mention that the 2026 Hyundai Palisade will continue the Hyundai tradition of class-leading warranty coverage. It&#8217;s backed by a 5-year/60,000-mile basic warranty and 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty, matched only by the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/kia/telluride/">Kia Telluride</a> in this class.

The 2026 Hyundai Palisade is <a href="https://www.kbb.com/car-news/2026-hyundai-palisade-gets-hybrid-option-handsome-look/">all new</a>. It enters a new generation with a fresh new look that&#8217;s sure to turn heads with a unique light signature and body lines that are boxy yet distinct. The already-roomy interior gets a little bigger, and it&#8217;s fully redesigned. One of the highlights of the new interior is the dual panoramic displays comprising a digital gauge cluster and a feature-rich infotainment display. Another highlight of the 2026 redesign is the first-ever XRT Pro trim, a capable off-roader with a rugged appearance package, extra ground clearance, all-terrain tires, additional drive modes, and more.

The 2026 Genesis G70 is one of our favorite compact luxury cars for a multitude of reasons.

The entry-level G70 employs a turbocharged 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine with 300 horsepower, making it the most muscular base engine of the class. It’s able to accelerate from a standstill to 60 mph in about 5.8 seconds. For comparison, the BMW 330i can channel its 255 hp to hit 60 mph in an impressive 5.4 seconds.
A twin-turbocharged 365-hp V6 propels the G70 3.3T. The closest BMW 3 Series in terms of muscle is the M340i with 382 hp &#8212; but that car is about $10,000 more.
The good thing about both G70 engines, we’ve found, is that they deliver their maximum thrust at low revs. Darting into a gap in traffic is satisfyingly swift. For the most part, they also operate with a quiet efficiency. It’s only when Sport or Sport+ modes are selected that they become more vocal.
We’ve driven the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/car-news/power-and-panache-driving-the-2024-genesis-g70/">G70 with the 2.5-liter turbocharged engine as well as the larger V6</a>, and discovered that the 2.5T is easily powerful enough and an excellent choice. If anything, we prefer that the front end feels a bit lighter, for a finer overall balance.
Every new G70 has good outward vision, and the front seats hold their occupants reassuringly in place even through quick corners. The G70 feels stable, responsive, calm, and collected. The standard Brembo brakes are also confidence-inspiring.
<h3>Fuel Economy</h3>
The G70 isn’t renowned for its sparing use of gasoline. The 2.5T engine manages 24 mpg in combined city/highway driving (with rear-wheel drive) or 23 combined mpg (all-wheel drive). To compare, the rear-drive BMW 330i can achieve 31 mpg combined, although most of the class is closer to the G70.
The 3.3T is capable of only 20 mpg combined, subtract a mile per gallon if all-wheel drive is in the mix. Premium gasoline is required for each engine.

Luxe Exterior

Like a BMW 3 Series (the benchmark for this class), the 2026 G70 has a relatively long hood, plus short overhangs at each end. We think the overall look is effective and definitely appropriate for the luxury sector.

Navigation-based smart cruise control 
This standard adaptive cruise control feature uses information from the navigation system to determine when there are curves coming up, and can adjust speed automatically. When used with the lane-centering Highway Driving Assist feature (also standard), it lightens the driver’s workload. We’ve found that driver aids in all Genesis vehicles work exceptionally well.
Brembo brakes 
These are standard on every new G70. Brembo is a highly respected Italian company that also supplies Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Aston Martin.
All-wheel drive 
A popular option, all-wheel drive brings greater surefootedness in wet and dry conditions. A heated steering wheel is also part of the deal.
Genesis Digital Key 
Using the Genesis app, users can lock/unlock and start the 2026 G70. This works with Apple iPhones and Android phones, and we like its convenience.
Lexicon audio 
Go into any world-class recording studio, and Lexicon equipment will be used for pretty much every session. The optional 15-speaker, 660-watt Lexicon system in the G70 can make occupants feel like they’re sitting inside one of those studios. We think it’s truly excellent. This is standard in the 3.3T models and the 2.5T Prestige.
Blind-Spot View Monitor 
Better than regular blind-spot monitoring (which is standard across the 2026 G70 range), the Blind-Spot View Monitor shows images in the instrument cluster from side cameras. This provides greater reassurance when the driver is about to change lanes. Part of the 3.3T Sport Prestige package, this is one of those features we miss when we’re driving other cars.

Quality Interior

Although the G70 is a relative bargain, there’s no indication of that in the cabin. It’s furnished with high-quality materials and assembled to luxury-car levels. Standard equipment includes a dedicated touchscreen for the climate control system, USB-C ports, rear side airbags, and a frameless rearview mirror.
The G70’s 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen isn’t even the second biggest in the class, but it’s perfectly usable. Rear passengers will find that the 34.8 inches of legroom is probably adequate as long as they aren’t tall. They won’t find much more in any rival premium compact sedan. But the G70’s trunk area of 10.5 cubic feet is on the stingy side.

Admittedly, the luxury company sedan class is not as well-populated as it once was. If this was a battle, then the strongest contenders would be the last ones standing. The Genesis G70 is just such a contender. We could talk about how <a href="https://www.kbb.com/genesis/">Genesis</a> packs a lot of standard equipment into the G70, making it an intriguing value proposition. But it’s not just that.
