Volkswagen of America has announced that it will sweeten the deal on a number of its 2013 models by giving buyers a complementary four-year subscription to SiriusXM Traffic. This comprehensive real-time driver assist feature will be included at no charge on any new VW equipped with either the RNS510 or RNS850 navigation systems. Currently the RNS510 system is available on Volkswagen CC, Eos, Passat and Tiguan models while the RNS850 package is included on the Touareg Sport with Navi as well as the Lux, Executive and Hybrid variants.
As a further enticement, customers who purchase any VW vehicle with the RNS510 package also will receive a three-month subscription to Sirius XM Travel Link, an extra that bolsters the basic information on speed, traffic flow and routing assistance with a variety of premium data services and information, including local fuel prices, weather forecasts, sports updates and movie listings. Volkswagen will continue offering three months of basic SiriusXM service to all customers who purchase any new VW fitted with a satellite radio.
