Adding a new, attractively packaged and priced entry to the existing model mix, the 2013 Volkswagen Passat Wolfsburg Edition will arrive in dealers later this spring. This value-oriented variation of the automaker’s flagship sedan opens at $24,290, a number that parks the car neatly between the Passat’s S and SE trim levels. Like previous VW models to wear the Wolfsburg badge, it boasts a unique selection of functional and cosmetic enhancements.

While official photos have yet to be released, Volkswagen has confirmed that the 2013 Passat Wolfsburg Edition will wear unique 16-inch alloy wheels in addition to its special exterior emblem that pays homage to the city that VW calls home. Beyond a standard 2.5-liter/5-cylinder gasoline engine and 6-speed automatic transmission, the Wolfsburg Edition also nets perforated V-Tex leatherette seating surfaces, a power driver’s seat, heated front seats, satellite radio, and a Media Device-Interface (MDI) with an iPod cable.
