Last year, Lexus debuted the all-new eighth-generation ES midsize luxury sedan for the 2026 model year. A completely revamped ES shocked many because it hadn’t seen such a major redesign in so many years.
Because 2026 saw numerous updates, Lexus has carried over these models unchanged for 2027. The same design, powertrain options, and features remain. Thankfully for shoppers, the price stays nearly flat, too.
Modest Price Bump for 2027
Both the hybrid and all-electric versions of the ES receive only a slight price increase for the 2027 model year. This is common among automakers and is usually due to factors such as inflation, higher supplier costs, or market demand.

Fresh New Gen
The ES lineup consists of hybrid and electric models: the ES 350h, the ES 350e, and the ES 500e. Lexus did away with a gas-only ES for this latest-gen redesign and introduced electric models to the lineup for the first time.
The naming conventions here can be confusing at first glance. Put simply, “h” denotes a hybrid model, and “e” denotes an electric model. The numbers 350 and 500 refer to Lexus’ performance tiers. 350 models are standard-power models, and 500 models are higher-performance versions.
The eight-generation ES features an entirely new look, with a more futuristic exterior and a longer, wider, and taller body. All of this is built on a new multi-pathway platform specifically designed to support both hybrid and electric powertrains.
Updated technology for this new gen ES included a new standard 12.3-inch driver information display, along with Lexus’ previous 14.0-inch infotainment screen. The Lexus Safety System+ 4.0 also replaced earlier generations of driver-assistance systems.
2027 Lexus ES Pricing and Availability
The 2027 ES is expected to reach dealerships in September. Pricing for all models is as follows, and includes a $1,395 destination fee.
