The 2021 Ford Bronco is available with a selection of roof materials, but those who have bought the most expensive option will have to wait or change their minds.
Ford says the painted modular hardtop will not be available until the 2022 model year due to a supplier problem. Buyers with orders for the roof have several choices. They can switch to the Carbonized Grey molded-in-color hardtop with free sound-deadening headliner. They can also switch to a soft top, or wait and take delivery of a 2022 Bronco. Those models will be available with the painted modular hardtop at the price of the 2021 model.
Buyers must let Ford know of their decision by April 8.
For their trouble, they’ll also receive 200,000 FordPass points, which are worth about $1,000 in services or accessories.
Many automakers have experienced delays since the COVID-19 pandemic shut down production at many of their suppliers. Earlier this month, Ford offered cash back as an apology to some Mustang Mach-E buyers who were notified of similar delays.
